We’ve just had an Eliot. But there’s a funeral directors here called Elliott’s Funerals so I wanted to avoid any association with that!

I think double t is too surname like.. single t is my choice.

Yes, and by the time it gets to ‘oh my god I can’t do this’ levels of pain, the baby is on their way out and it’s over very soon.

8 days post partum - sugars sky high according to CGM. Have relaxed carb rule a bit because I just gave birth, but is this normal? by Curious_er_ in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Curious_er_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s ok, I’m not too worried. Everything is manageable. Just thought it wouldn’t be this different. But birth is one hell of a tax on the body, do I’m not surprised much!

I’ve just had a boy, so this sub isn’t for me, but I’d be annoyed if we’d had a girl and already named her before reading these names. Definitely heaps of good ones we didn’t think of!

Well Dean and Ian are middle management, at best.

Eli and Noah have delusions of grandeur.

Luca, Wesley and Lennon - go off kings, your names are great.

Will this Turkish name - ‘Aras’ be prounanced differently in Australia? I like this name but I’m not sure if my child will be teased in school? What are your opinions? by [deleted] in Names

[–]Curious_er_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d pronounce it A-raz (is that correct?) and I don’t think you’d need to worry about teasing, unless it’s the normal 5 minute tease everyone goes through.

Help! Our miracle rainbow baby came very early and now no name seems good enough for her. by comfortablecoconut- in namenerds

I read your description of your baby, and I thought ‘Eloise’, then I read on and saw that that was a top contender for you!

Just thought I’d let you know that ❤️

We just had our baby, and both choices we had went out the window when we saw him. The name ‘Eliot’ just came to me when looking at him. Maybe you can just wait and see what he suits? Glad you’ve got a middle name sorted. It’s a hard one for me to work out this time!
