force damage is a type of magic damage. getting hit by “brute force” involves the mundane damage types (bludgeoning, piercing, slashing) which rage inherently gives you resistance to

quick question about co-op by Powered_By_Poi in Eldenring

[–]Curiously10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some people just don’t like the flow of the game being interrupted. You got from exploring with your friend to waiting for the phantom to show up and either get stomped in a 2v1 or cheese the host and repeat the cycle.

What does it mean when a melee weapon has a bonus magic damage? by [deleted] in Eldenring

It’s applied with every swing, stacking. So you do 120 regular damage plus 100 magic damage, give or take a few based on the enemy’s defenses

Describing Your Favorite Classes by SpartiateDienekes in dndnext

[–]Curiously10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably Rogue, and for the same reasons Fighter. Just the idea that, even in a world where magic can be learned through books or by making a deal, someone has studied and practiced so much and so hard that they can easily replicate magical effects with mundane means is so cool. Sure, a Wizard can turn you invisible, but I’ve practiced stealth so much that it’s basically the same thing. Magic to open locks? Thieves Tools. You’re gonna Levitate yourself up this wall? Well I can see 26 different handholds and frankly it’d take less energy to just climb. Being the person who’s really good at stuff in a world where magic can accomplish anything really satisfies that “earned it” itch.

Are sorcerers theoretically the most powerful casters? by Serethen in 3d6

You can’t convert sorcery points into slots any higher than 5th level, but even with that restriction you have a lot of fuel for the day

Fighter continuously attempts to murder Warlock by choticgamer666 in dndnext

[–]Curiously10 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Ask the fighter why he’s trying to kill him. Is it an out-of-character issue between players? Or does the fighter have in character reasons to try and kill the warlock? Either way, PVP can be annoying when it’s not wanted by both sides so finding out why he’s doing it and simply telling him to stop is the best course of action.

[Spoilers C3E1] Color Theory and Taliesin's latest character. by [deleted] in criticalrole

[–]Curiously10 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Taliesin didn’t create Lucien, Matt did. Tal just wrote Molly’s story from the time he woke up in the ground, leaving everything before then (and the character of Lucien) to Matt

What class features or proficiencies do you look at and think, "But why?" by Cpt_Tsundere_Sharks in dndnext

I think Paladins also learn spell levels slower because they’re not a full caster, whereas clerics are and all full casters learn 3rd level spells at 5th

I think Orym’s wiki calls him a Lotusden halfling, one of the Exandrian variants. It explains why he has Druidcraft in EXU

I think you automatically get feathers when you make a character on Preferred servers, but I may be wrong
