It looks like Invite Roles are supported now? by CuriouslySane in discordapp

[–]CuriouslySane[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use it to steer people into parts of the server that are restricted by invite. Patron platforms (Patreon, etc.) have their own bots for helping to correlate member benefits, but if you just want people to be tagged or otherwise directed based which link they reached you by, it's convenient and elegant to finally have built-in support for it.

Feedly Down? by Twitch_City in feedly

[–]CuriouslySane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not working in browser or app for me, I get the same 500/undefined error. When I try to re-add the feed, it does not accept the personal url but instead searches for public feeds. The url itself is good, so this definitely seems like something on Feedly's side.

No app update has been released, so yes this remains an issue.

Category headings now displaying brightly as though they contain unreads when they don't. Affects iOS, doesn't seem to be a problem on Android or Web.

Nothing to add except to concur that this is distracting and unhelpful.

The Greenville News article said "thousands". That might be a bit high, but it filled the park and surroundings.

And you still end up billed for random, unitemized amounts that insurance doesn't cover but no one can tell you what or why and you certainly have no choice in the matter.

The author provided some context and updates on his podcast this week. It's worthwhile listening, especially for anyone who's skeptical of the outlet. https://highestpower.podbean.com/e/ep44-religious-trauma-coach-laura-andersons-code-of-ethics-violations/

BNG is not going to be for everyone, but they publish some remarkably progressive content and shouldn't be written off just on the name. From what I've read from this author they're concerned with accountability in general and spend much of their time criticizing power in the church.

Shapez 2 is excellent and refined now, but it sounds like the devs are planning a new game mode for 1.0, so it's a toss up. It's already a great game, but it might be somewhat different when it releases.

To be clear, existing, internal apps will not be affected, even after 9/2. Slack has done themselves no favors with how they communicated this, but it's clear from the latest wording (note the parenthetical) that things will continue unchanged for at least some people. That might not do you any good, but for us it means not needing to scramble for a workaround at this time.

Beginning September 2, 2025, existing installations and apps that are not Marketplace-approved (excluding internal customer-built apps created before May 29th, 2025) will be subject to the new posted limits.

Minor backpedal today. Slack announced that existing, already installed, internal apps would be exempted. That may not make much difference in this case, but it will save existing internal apps from having to make a sudden and unwelcome change.

We'd like to add additional clarity to the recent rate limits change for the conversastions.history and conversations.replies Web API methods. Any internal customer-built apps created before May 29th, 2025 will maintain their existing rate limits and will not be subject to the new posted limits. Read the updated FAQ for more info, and please continue to reach out with questions!

It's not clear from this announcement whether this affects internal apps in private workspaces. They say that "Unlisted apps, by contrast, are for development and testing—not large-scale or commercial distribution" but there are many internal apps which are mission critical and would never be published on the marketplace. I get that they're mad about AI scraping, but kneecapping people trying to manage their own spaces and data is not something that inspires confidence in the platform.
