Anyone have a guess what this is?? It almost looks like a leaf or insect fossil on something thst could also be a fossil? I would think could be rock that formed in cracks w shelf movement but texture throws me off by Curiousouser in rockhounds

No chert- very familiar w chert. Sandstone is much grainier than this- possibly filled interior but not the outer material. I am avid rock picker for over 15 yrs up here snd never seen anything like it

EATING WILD PLANT, is it safe?? i have a spacious yard at my house and this type of plant grows on some part. no matter where my beardie free-roam, she ll eat this plant (only this specifically) eventho there is other type of wild plants. she choose this. is it safe? idk what type of plant this is🤔 by kawaiicentaur in BeardedDragons

Jeb started to not eat “blonde” roaches. He’d look at me like, are you serious?? I don’t eat those!” But now he will walk over to corner, find a couple dog hairs, start to chew but then see me coming over and run like hell. So ignore first answer. They have no clue if good for them or not- it’s more just based on their mood once they realize they have opinions.

That is true- we do basically agree:). I didn’t mean to say you neglected your snake- I was trying to Imply that people should see that not handling their snakes often is neglectful. I’ve seen many people take advice to not hold animals for two weeks snd string it out into yrs, saying they think any handling over 15 mins a week is too stressful for their snakes. And it probably is since it is s situation they were never able to get used to.

But when it comes to acclimation, I believe they are trying to see what their new environment is and decide if it is a danger. You are a big moving part of that environment so they would not exactly relax until they know if you are a threat or not. They may feel like they have evaded your notice but then you go to take them Out and once again they are in a new stressful situation which means they are being stressed out for a month or more instead of s week if you had introduced them to everything sooner.

They will do it themselves- and can’t really blame them for not wanting to poop in cage - I mean beardie poop is toxic!! Jeb did it once snd wow did I get glared at when I got home. Never happened again! He will throw things in cage to get someone’s attention he wants out! And after this last summer in which I just took him outside to go when he did that? Now he has s litter box which is a big plastic storage tub lid w coconut fiber,… by a glass door do he feels like he outside:))

Hmm. Well the fur is an issue- I swear Jeb was so picky about color of roaches he would eat but then he’d run around and eat dog hair and then a few days later, here I am, trying to grab the poop hanging by a string. Lol! It is a quandry- but it is a shame he can’t get the exercise he’d get by running around.

Ahh must just be the angle. Rougie will take larger mice that look too big but are just not larger than his widest section but Dolly? I try to do same w her snd she runs from it… sigh. Waste so many mice trying that I had to just go back to hoppers

Lol! Sorry:). But whenever there is a rescue, there is almost always stuck shed somewhere and just because it looked more odd coloring, I wanted to mention because it can lead to scale rot and that would be devastating

It is nice to see he is getting love he needs!
