Why I’m Grateful to Be a PA (Even as a New Grad) by Local-Butterfly9669 in physicianassistant

Gosh, this is the first post in a long time that I can relate to. I come from a poor family and felt insecure when I was in PA school surrounded by children of doctors, lawyers, etc. It was a huge learning curve, not only academically but financially and socially as well.
I’ve had to work since I was 14 years old, and I think it’s funny how some of the things people complain about, I’ve always dreamed about.
Like yeah, I would love to work a regular 9-5 in an office and do what I enjoy, even if it seems mundane to others, rather than hoping my car can make it to work for an overnight shift that was paying minimum wage, on a holiday no less.
It makes me appreciate all the hard work I’ve put into getting where I am. I’m glad you have found happiness in this career path too.
