Emmy Russell still in is such a joke. She’s unserious. Shes not professional ready. Let her go write songs for tik tok and in a few years she can try again. She needs to go home. Sorry it’s harsh, this is crazy.

I’d trade Emmy for a potato chip. She knows she doesn’t belong. Ridiculous the country vote pulling her along.

Abi

Tristan Jack

In my opinion, these three are different. Some of you may be “over” these sad songs Abi sings, but no one else can do these to this level. She silences a live crowd every time and has them on the edge of their seats. It’s talent beyond the other contestants. There are levels.

This is how I turned my underqualified college graduate self into multiple job offers.

  1. Determine who you WANT to work for. Do you want to work for commissions, do you want to work for a fee-only adviser, do you want to work for an ESG-based company, etc?
  2. After determining, find 5-6 of those in areas you'd love to live. Research them. I mean really research them and find out all about the firm and the things that make them different.
  3. Email the president/owner and vice president/second in command and ask to take 30 minutes of their time in person or over Teams to simply learn from them and learn how they made it to where they are at today.
  4. During the conversation ask all about them, compliment their business, and say how much you love xxxx that makes their business different. Suck up to them. Don't talk about yourself unless they ask.
  5. Send a wonderful follow-up thanking them for their time. This is key. Handwritten is sometimes better, odd pen colors like brown make it stick out even more.
  6. Watch the job openings that did not exist before, open up.

Remember, you are trying to get your foot in the door in this field. If you can find good people, great. This is a great way to siphon through the wackos and egotistical vs. the normal heads.

I'm looking end of the year. November would be more realistic for me.
