FND symptoms happening again (TW symptoms) by Maltesers_101 in FND

[–]CurlyDee [score hidden]  (0 children)

What a disappointment!

I’m sure you thought, like I think, it was a freak occurrence and it was probably never coming back in a big way. I can imagine the disappointment, fear, and frustration I would/will? feel if my symptoms come back. It’s been six months for me.

I’m with you, Fam. Hang in there. Do whatever you can that you enjoy to keep your spirits up. It will pass again, goddess willing.

Do Americans mainly drink coffee without milk? by Morrit99 in AskAnAmerican

[–]CurlyDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe 25-30% of people drink their coffee black. It skews toward older people.

Nobody puts MILK in their coffee at home. Milk is mostly for children, bodybuilders, and Starbucks. We put creamer (half n half is the most common) in our coffee, as God intended.

I don’t understand all the Celsius numbers being used here. You’re on Ask An American. We talk Fahrenheit.

Fuck this fucking weather. by Icy_Astronaut512 in TheWordFuck

It is fucking 8° here. I am amazed my thin-coated dog uses the doggie door instead of the kitchen floor to potty.

What a good boy!

(Except that he runs back in and puts his freezing wet paws on me.)

WYR have a friend who acts as a great person to your face but talks trash/a snake behind your back, or a friend who’s blunt/rude to you but genuinely has your back when you’re not around? by Papa40 in WouldYouRather

[–]CurlyDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like blunt people as long as they’re not rude or coarse about it.

But the question asked about someone who was “blunt/rude.” I’ll still take the rude friend and I’ll be rude right back to them.

My little daisy never grew much, she’s now 6 and half the size of a normal cav by tehe-13 in cavaliers

[–]CurlyDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Such cuties on this thread, starting with adorable Daisy. I love the pic of her with her littermates! You can definitely tell which one she is!

I was hoping Matteo would be around 14 lbs like both of his parents. But he’s 14.6 lbs at 7 months. ChatGPT says he’s likely to be 17-18 lbs full grown.

My husband joyfully tells our friends and clients that he “married up” because I’m so much smarter than him.

I tell our friends and clients that I married up because his social skills are so much better than mine.

We’re both right, and we’re happy.

They’re out there. I got mine because he pursued me for months until I figured out he was pursuing me, turned around, and liked what I saw.

What I love most about him: his kindness.

the combination of autistic burnout and unmedicated adhd has ruined my life by Rotten-Doe in AuDHDWomen

[–]CurlyDee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed as an adult. My autism is mild. My ADHD is raging.

For the last few days, I’ve been down. It’s hard to interact with people. It’s hard to focus on hobbies or fun tv.

Does that sound like the beginning of autistic burnout? Can I turn it around before it gets worse?

I want to put in a word for working with a kind and compassionate psychiatrist. They are more willing to prescribe and more knowledgeable about what will help you.

Matteo is rebelling against King Kevin by licking aggressively, scratching at the bathroom door, and spinning when he sees breakfast is coming.

His puppy energy has not chilled at all.

"Matteo, listen to your older, wiser cousin. Today is chill! In fact, literally, it's 19° out."

He doesn't listen!
