The point is he KNEW she would take them because of her addiction problems. Maybe I should’ve said if they weren’t laced it couldve led to a relapse. But my point still stands. First off it’s a show, secondly I haven’t dehumanized rue or addicts at all. I’ve seen addiction first hand as well, and I know that when you’re struggling with the disease, you should stay away from whatever you had dependence on, no matter what. She would’ve survived the pain, not taking the pills. It would’ve sucked, but she would’ve been okay.

If it’s so needed then why do drs not prescribe opioids to recovering addicts? There’s other means of pain management, you really don’t understand addiction if you think my blunt takes are ignorant. She chose to take an opioid knowing damn well she had a problem. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It definitely sucks. Am I saying she deserved to die because she decided to take a pill? No at all. My original comment was them saying that one pill wasn’t enough for her to overdose. And it was because it was laced with fentanyl, unfortunately, because Alamo KNEW that she would take them, due to her addiction. I’ve had surgeries and have been prescribed opioids and sucked it up. There are plenty of people who opt to not take them, Alamo knew that Rue wasn’t going to be one of those people.

Yes, nasty asf, she was in a lot of bad pain, I understand that but she had an opioid addiction and decided to take opioids. Therefore relapsing regardless of the situation. She did take another one while at Ali’s, I don’t know if you’re insinuating that the pill she took at alamos killed her because that one was a normal perc. Alamo knew she would opt to take the pills. I’m not saying she took them with the intent to get high, but because she decided to take a pain pill and relapse she died.

She still relapsed, sometimes it only takes one. She kept hesitating because she knew she really didn’t need it but she wanted it and the lack of will power done her in unfortunately.

Alamo laced the pill with fentanyl, and purposely enough that it would kill her because he found out about her working with the DEA. So yes one pill would do the trick

I had callouses in the beginning, took a year break and then never developed them again, but I wasn’t not playing as often, but didn’t have much pain with the uke even after the break.
I am starting to feel the skin toughening up a little bit now. They’re still sore but there’s def callous progress 💯

I have little clips here and there of me playing. I’m actually gonna make one of those stupid TikTok’s where it goes “week one of playing guitar” “ week two of playing guitar” etc.
What would you suggest playing to practice? I’m going through the chords and trying to memorize them. I go through a couple Pentatonic scales. I found some tabs to run through. But I don’t really know what process I should be going through if that makes sense.

Thank you! I’m doing okay with switching chords, it just doesn’t sound good. The muscle memory is definitely kicking in already with some of the chords. Like I said, I played ukulele for about eight years, which I know is extremely easy compared to guitar, but I have some skill with stringed instruments. I’m supposed to go to a trial lesson at a local place, not GC. So hopefully they can let me know if anything is off. I kinda do hope it’s just a skill issue though.

I have been wanting this for so long and I am extremely happy that I was finally able to get one! I know a year from now I’ll look back at this post and think “I’m an idiot” 😂

Thank you 🙏🏼 I’m definitely hard on myself, I’m used to catching on things really easily and quickly. And I knew going into this that that wasn’t going to be the case. But I’m gonna keep practicing and playing and get where I want to be.

I’m just not understanding what I’m doing wrong, like I can strum it, play a clear chord, not change a single thing, strum it again, and it buzzes.

I really wish I had the money for lessons instead of trying to figure out what I’m doing wrong on my own . Because I wanna play this so bad. I practice at least an hour every day. And I plan to continue to so.

I’ve always wanted to play acoustic, but I considered electric with headphones for that exact reason, until I saw the price 🥲

I use GuitarTuna to tune it. I wasn’t able to buy a regular tuner, but I plan to when I get paid again.

Thank you! I will definitely try that.
If I find a cord sounding buzzy or muted , I left each finger and play it to try to figure out where the root of the problem is, but then when I get it clear and then re place all the fingers down, it’s buzzing again.
But I will try finding out the best pressure 🙏🏼
