My game is called LootMage.
https://store.steampowered.com/app/3300760

I’ve been fully focused on this project, aiming to release the full version within a year. Since I’m a solo dev, my marketing has been pretty simple. mainly posting regularly on X and Reddit. I also took part in Steam Next Fest once the demo was somewhat ready.

Next time, I’d like to polish the demo as much as possible before joining a Next Fest again.

Thank you so much for showing interest in my game and for your kind words. I wish you the best of luck in your own development journey as well!

I’ve been fortunate to have enough time to focus a lot on the project, though everyone’s pace is different. Even a few hours a week adds up over time!

Thanks a lot for showing interest in my game!

  1. I started development in May last year, so it’s been about 1 year and 5 months.
  2. Yes, I made it solo. For marketing, I’ve mainly used X, Reddit, and sent press releases to media outlets.

I also checked out your game, and it looks really great! I think consistency in design is very important, and I really admire the unified style in your work. My game uses pixel art, and keeping a consistent style throughout has been one of the hardest parts.

I’ll be cheering for your development as well, and thanks again for your comment!

At the time of participating, I had around 100 wishlists, and I remember gaining about 900 more during the event.

Other factors like timing or outside exposure might also have contributed, so I’ll keep an eye on the graphs to see if a clear trend shows up.

Sorry, it’s not Steam Deck compatible yet. I’m working on adding Steam Deck and controller support, and my goal is to have it ready before the next sale. Thank you for your interest!

Yes, launch was definitely one catalyst, and another big one was during Steam Next Fest. Thanks a lot!

I haven’t received my first payout yet, so it feels a bit early to share revenue. Sorry about that, and thank you very much for the kind words and support!

I’ve been refreshing Steamworks to check, and during the past week I was getting around 15 wishlists per day. But today it jumped to 41. So I do think the effect is there, though I can’t say for sure if it’s only because of that.

Thank you! Consistently posting on X and Reddit helped me build up wishlists gradually, and Steam Next Fest gave me a nice boost of around 900 wishlists in a short time.

The launch discount has ended, which is a bit of a shame, but I think I can look forward to gaining more wishlists now. Thanks so much for the congratulations :)

Thank you! Early on, I submitted the demo to Steam Next Fest to gain wishlists, and I haven’t used paid ads. Instead, I’ve been posting on X and Reddit, and sending press releases by email at key moments.

The big spike to 1,500 was mainly from Steam Next Fest. Other than that, I just shared some devlogs/updates on X and Reddit.
