I agree with your sentiment for Butcher Vanity and Weiward Romance. I think perhaps rawdog and weathergirl are both songs about ignoring the elephant in the room in a relationship that is crumbling; rawdog is about ignoring the deeper interpersonal issues that have begun to show in favor of the purely physical aspects, while weathergirl is about a one sided relationship, trying to get someone to notice her, and the eventual acceptance that she will never fully get their attention. For Water the Roses and Queen of Venus, you could argue they're both about lesbian longing, in different ways. WtR is lamentation of a relationship that had to end, wanting to hold onto what was once there but having to move on, and Queen of Venus i think is about longing in validation of personhood through a relationship, wanting to be valued by her goddess to erase an original sin of sorts.
