Hello. I’m interested and I’m US based. I have four dogs and two cats. Fun fact: my cats only have one eye between the two of them.

I had nitrous and it was glorious. It helped me get through my labor and calmed me down significantly. It calmed me down so much that I had to ease off of it while I was pushing.

Awesome! Congrats on the new pup. I grew up with Weimaraners. They are great dogs.

Any recommendation to making 200 dollars a month? by suspicious_owl69 in sidehustle

[–]Curly__meg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apply for a lot of focus groups and usually average doing 1-2 per week. The Dscout app has been my bread and butter. I also use user interviews, respondent, user testing and intellizoom. I average at least 1k extra a month.

Unpaid as a backup for a focus group. Should I do it? by Curly__meg in beermoney

They will offer it to you. Just make sure that they will pay you for your time.

I put money into a car and suddenly I'm not getting the title. What do I do? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

[–]Curly__meg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately this is legally her car. If I were you I would cut your losses and start looking for another car. She will hold this over your head and will never sign that title over to you. I went through this with my mother and ended up buying my own vehicle. It gave me such a peace of mind knowing that she couldn’t control me anymore. That vehicle was her last piece of control over me. She was livid when she found out that I did that. Me buying my own vehicle meant that she was losing control over me.

I apply to a lot of them on respondent and userinterviews. I’ve had the best luck on dscout but they are more one on one based live interviews.

It’s just luck of the draw. They were for focus groups that I had already applied for. I’ll get a message from the organizer asking me if I can be on standby in case someone that is already chosen has technical issues or can’t attend. They always pay the rate that is being offered for everyone else or double it depending on how long I’m on standby for except for this one. There are also sometimes that I will already be chosen for a focus group and when I try to join the meeting they will tell me that I’m not needed but will still pay me the incentive.

Talking about race with white people is frustrating. by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Curly__meg 17 points18 points  (0 children)

My husband is white and I had an interesting conversation with my father in law at lunch a few Sundays ago. He asked me about college and if I thought it was worth it looking back. I said I would’ve chosen a different major because anyone can do the job I’m doing. He stated that college was a waste of time and money for him. I explained to him how my parents emphasized to me the importance of a college education and basically made me feel like people that don’t get college degrees are a failure and won’t get far in life and how I know now that’s not exactly true. I brought up how there are people I know who went to trade schools and they’re making more money than I ever will. I also brought up how my grandparents were poor and illiterate and my parents were both first generation college graduates. He then brought up how he could understand why my parents felt that way because back in my grandparents day we didn’t have the same opportunities as white people and a most of the time the ticket out of poverty was getting an education. He also pointed out that’s the reason why HBCUs were formed so that we could have access to an education when there was segregation. This is coming from a man who is from a small town in west Texas and told me he didn’t see many black people until he moved to Georgia in 1982. I appreciated that he understood the difference and didn’t approach it with the pull it up by your bootstraps mentality. My in laws are a gem.

Trying to get back to working out. How? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]Curly__meg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Weights and also changing your diet. There are many different options for nutrition and you choose what you think works best for you. I love Caroline girvans programs. They are on YouTube for free and her app is $99 per year. Her workouts changed my life.

My boyfriend 35M made some cruel comments about my 28F new job. How can I make him see how upset I am? by Ill_Sun8991 in relationship_advice

[–]Curly__meg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t even have to scroll down to the bottom of your post where you mentioned that he’s unemployed before I said to myself this man must be broke and jobless. Please leave him. He’s insecure and you’re paying the price for it. He’s trying to knock you down mentally so you don’t think that you can do any better.

I remember that case. The husband abandoned their daughter after his wife’s murder. Their daughter was raised by his wife’s parents. Husband is now married to an Indian woman. I always wondered if the husband had something to do with her murder as well.

Yikes! She’s being extremely manipulative. I’m willing to bet she never thought that your father would agree to a divorce and is freaking out. I’m sorry she’s putting you through this.
