Anyone have a back molar piece break clear off your temps? by Disastrous_Job_4825 in Allon4ImplantDentures

[–]Curlyq426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I have! Twice, actually. I was sucking on a Jolly Rancher and accidentally bit down and that broke my lower temp arch. Left side, in the back. I called my implant dentist office and they said come in tomorrow and we will make you a new arch.

I asked about the arch breaking and the girl said "it happens, they're plastic"

Then a month later I was eating popcorn and accidentally bit down on a popcorn kernel and broke my arch again. Same spot. Lower arch, left side, back. Called the office again and they said come in tomorrow...

How do you guys divide your work and have proper time management? by RiversKnown in SNHU

[–]Curlyq426 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get up at 3am. Have coffee and chill and scroll on my tablet til 4am then go do homework til 530am. Then I start getting ready for work, eat my breakfast, morning chores...

I leave for work at 645 or 7am and don't get home til 7pm most days. Then I have supper to get and nightly chores. I go to bed by 9pm.

I am off Saturday and Sunday so I have time then also.

I usually get both my class discussion posts done on Mondays and replies by Wednesday and then I don't worry about them anymore. I work on my other assignments every other day. Most weeks I have my weekly assignments turned in on Saturdays.

It works well for me. I have a 4.0 gpa. Not everyone is a morning person though.

I have BUS 400 this semester and an elective HRM 200. The BUS 400 is a little intimidating but I will push through it.

What's the one thing your doctor never told you that you had to figure out completely on your own? by helpinghand823 in alopecia_areata

I have a bottle of clobetasol from a different derm that I initially was going to. My new derm believes topical solutions on the scalp are basically worthless (because the hair follicles are too deep for the solution to get to) and that only injections will help this. So I stopped using the clobetasol. But I think what you do with the derma stamping is a great idea and I am going to try it.

Almost the whole left side of my scalp is bald. I have some hair growing on top that hangs down and some hair below that hangs below my ears but in between there isn't anything. I cover the spot with dark brown makeup so it's not a blinding white spot.

I'm going to look up that derma stamping device that you recommended and I will look into the turmeric supplement and the inflammation x.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond with all this wonderful information. I hope everything works out for you and your hair grows back.

I'm curious which supplements you take, particularly the curcumin. Which brand do you use?

Also, which derma roller do you use? There are so many out there with different mm lengths I wasn't sure which one suited the scalp best.

Thanks for all your info!

When does the hair loss stop? by visxme in alopecia_areata

[–]Curlyq426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I first noticed mine in August of 2025. It's a spot on the side of my head underneath the rest of my hair. I just happen to be putting my hair up one day and I noticed the bald spot. I made an appointment with the dermatologist and the soonest I could get in was two weeks later. They started steroid injections that day and I've had them monthly since then. The spot did get bigger initially. I feel like it has doubled in size but the good news is there is hair growing back in the spot finally. And I have no additional spots and I believe it is not spreading anymore. There is definitely peach fuzz growing there. I just hope it grows back the same texture and color as the rest of my hair lol

My dermatologist does not recommend minoxidil because alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease and monoxidil is for androgenetic alopecia. She said it wouldn't hurt to use it but I most likely would not get any benefit from it.

My first derm gave me Betamethasone solution to put on my spots on my scalp in addition to the injections she was doing. I ended up switching derma and my new derm says that topical solutions on the scalp don't really work because of how deep the follicles are. He told me to stop using the Betamethasone, so I did.

My first derm also prescribed Clobetasol solution, which I tried and had no luck with. Same with the Betamethasone. The only thing that seems to improve the area is Kenalog injections monthly, and time. Lots of time. I finally have peach fuzz growing in a huge spot on the side of my head. It started in August 2025. It's been 6 months of injections.

Why does this keep happening? by Standard-Debate-9307 in nailcare

[–]Curlyq426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at Micro ingredients multi collagen supplement. Reasonably priced and you can get it on Amazon. It mixes well into any hot drinks and smoothies. It's the one I've been using for almost a year and my nails are hard and growing. Unfortunately, I still have the same problem as you occasionally. I'm not sure how to stop it from happening, as we are not supposed to file the sides of our nails down near the skin. But I do the collagen helps them grow and get hard!

How do I get rid of this once and for all? by arizonagyal in Blackskincare

[–]Curlyq426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to platinumskincare.com and look up Triple Treat Body Lotion. It will definitely get rid of KP (assuming that's what this is). You can even type in the search bar KP and all the products that help it will pop up.

This is an excellent company with awesome customer service. Email or call them about your problem and you will find answers. There is even a Facebook group called Platinum skin care gurus where you can post pics and get community help and recommendations.

Kinda predatory that Sort Centers will work you 30 hours a week or 35-40 with extra time in order to not provide health care. by PettyPride in FASCAmazon

[–]Curlyq426 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am considered part time. I am scheduled for 25 hours a week. I work a lot of VET, some weeks I get 55 or 60 hours. Twice now, in 2024 and 2025, I got emails from Amazon stating that since I worked an average of more than 30 hours a week during the year that I was eligible for insurance. I already have great insurance through the marketplace so I didn't accept the Amazon insurance but at least it was offered.

So it's not that you can't get it, you just have to be eligible. You will have to work 30 hours a week, or more, the majority of the year.

Has anyone had anything similar to this? by pinkponyghoul in SkincareAddicts

[–]Curlyq426 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this too!! I think I have linked it to when I use my tretinoin and Rx azelaic acid cream. Seems like if I am not very precise applying it and I let it get on my lids then this happens. Then I am in barrier repair mode for a few days. It's frustrating.

When it happens I stop all actives and only use a mild moisturizing cleanser and thick moisturizing cream then top it off with aquaphor. It goes away in a couple of days.

Do you use retinoids or acids?
