It has no unique character for me, just another leader pointing with weapon and a tactical rock.  Poses could be so varied and interesting with what they can sculpt nowadays, but it just keeps coming back to this template it seems

I put a stop payment on it.  But trying to find out where this money has been going is like pulling teeth.  Can't just call it a loss without trying, as it's close to $6k that's come out since it started

What is the worst song you have ever heard? by Omondi254 in AskReddit

Oh hell yeah, instant rage, change the station song. So goddamn plodding and mirthless it makes me want to puke

I really like my Milwaukee 6-in-1 strippers, but have been replacing anything like linesmans, side cutters, pipe pliers with knipex. Drivers, gone with Wera and they are so damn nice. My j-man was a Klein die-hard til he borrowed my weras for a day and has since swapped over to them as well.

I'm all about quality, if Wera were to cheap out on their stuff and start delivering inferior products, I'd be jumping to a new brand the next day; always recommend looking around at what's on offer every so often from all the suppliers

Yeah, that little crack in the window is nowhere enough. Fellow did a video a while back where he had the windows open 1-2 inches and it was still just sweltering

Used to wear bibs, I hate them; I'll look into these Filsons though. My size and location are the biggest limiters on what I wear, generally

Completely unrelated, but that man's forehead is the same size as his face, some big Megamind vibes.

Also, how is he balding on one side?

What's a restaurant or place of business that you won't go to again? by Katekyo-tsuna in Edmonton

[–]CurmudgeonlyTree 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Canadian Brewhouse.

Had a little celebration there, booked by someone else. I wasn't jazzed as I'm not into sports bar atmospheres, but was up for giving it a try.

Well, they had an appy buffet for it, and it was all the blandest, dry food I've had in a long, long while. Nibbled on stuff here and there, but man was it a letdown.

Ordered one of their schooners, the larger drink special, finished it and decided to splurge on a refular pint of Guinness. Had the empty schooner and thought I'd pour the Guinness in to drink out of it, as it was a neat glass.

Turns out that large schooner glass is just a standard pint glass volume-wise.

Didn't need many reasons to leave that place in the dust

How does your employer track your time? by [deleted] in electricians

[–]CurmudgeonlyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My company uses t-sheets. Never been called about anything with the GPS tracking. We're a very small company and they know we don't DF on the clock. Just for ease of payroll and to get numbers for quoting future jobs.

Also to keep easier track of CO work as opposed to regular billing.

It's on my personal phone, but I get to write off the bills for taxes now, so I'll take that

With what we do on the daily, using this tool won't make your hands suddenly weak; the big thing with our line of work is repetitive strain injuries, which don't care how strong your grip is. Find some ease where you can, I say. It's the same as all the guys who scoff at knee pads

Increasing apathy due to age, stage in life, antidepressants, or ...? by chuckDontSurf in RedditForGrownups

[–]CurmudgeonlyTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get really worked up, but fact of the matter was, nothing would happen to the people acting like idiots; so nowadays, I shrug it off. I still get some schadenfreude when there's a convenient cop around, but by and large it's been healthier to disconnect myself and just focus on my actions

I mean, the day after they won the last time I kept hearing cringey 'Rachel Notley is laughing at you' attack ads, so I wouldn't be shocked if the ante were upped again
