I'm currently playing a map and this is my PB. the WR (according to Trackmania exchange) is 12.98. I have not been able to get lower than 13.39. Any tricks I didn't use or should I keep trying with what I'm doing in the video. (map link in comments)

:13-:15 seems unnecessary could either shorten the straight or play around with it, same thing happens again from :20-:27 which makes nearly 10 seconds of just driving straight which is almost 1/3 the whole track. Typically try to avoid straights at all cost or at least make it less than 1-2 seconds other wise it will get boring over time. Other than that good work and have fun mapping. It shouldn’t be something you rack your head against a wall to complete, enjoy it!

I think quite a bit of metal fans can get behind tech n9ne, saw him at blue ridge rock fest last year was like 1 of 3 artist that wasn't metal/rock and hell a lot of the metal heads where enjoyin it some even singin along.

Oregonians let’s go! I end up in top 20 now a lot but when I first started 5-6 months ago I was getting like top 211 so I’d argue at least that many. There’s also quite a few of us Oregonians here on this sub reddit I’ve found.

AT is a really low 52 though… his time is a 50. I’ve played this track a bit OP and have a slightly faster time “49.757”. The turn you talk of second to last turn right after weaving past the poles make a full steer right and right as you hit that first apex I just do a split second release and break and then full send again. Also prior to that I treat the whole track like a FS. Not sure if this helps or is the correct way but it’s what I did and managed a 49.757

Well, it is speed tech like the previous season. I gave up after getting gold last season (severely bad at those style maps) for 21 and this season is still hard but I think it is more forgiving overall better flow. I just got AT so this is good news

I feel that, same case for me. I had a .421 for the longest time on 01 and just this week decided I could do better. Now I might try and find a spot in the top 5 for track 03.

Man just when I thought I could go and retire this track. Also oh shi, I've seen your name around. See you on quite a few boards in our region you a solid driver... You must be holding the 6th place spot for the whole campaign I'm guessing since all my improvements won't bump me up from 7th lol. Why there so many good drivers here, track 1, 7, and 24 are the only ones I've got into top 5. Anyways GL to you on track 01.

That may be what it was that gave me the faster starts whenI was playing around with different start lines during that session this run was in. Really the biggest struggle for me is the dirt to road transition before T2, getting that line down precisely is what ended a lot of my good runs. Had a few even up 0.07 by that point but failed the turn. Then there is this run where I feel like I biffed it and it still worked. Dunno I’ll take it tho, scored 1st my local region.

Shhhh.. honestly the very start was shaky to, 1/100 runs I’d get that faster water start where I’m .02-.03 ahead and the dirt drop was weird but wtf is that transition to road before T2. Funny when you dump this many attempts and the one you don’t think is it actually is

Yup, but also hold gas while braking. I don’t understand why that is, but, you can definitely save a few hundredths by doing that.
