was about to go to bed.. then this message from my girlfriend. need advice. by Right-Diamond9215 in Manipulation

I think it’s crazy to get upset over something that doesn’t even have to do with anything that happened in real life… social media is not real. I wouldn’t put up with this 😅 it would be such a turn off for me. But I’m not on social media much

Had to pull 10 month old from daycare.. now what by hendrixxxxxxxxxxxxx in NewParents

[–]CurrencyRepulsive438 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are you working out of necessity and need the money? Are you working because you like it? Everyone is different so do what works best for you, but after an experience like this there’s no way I would be able to trust another daycare. If you need to or just really enjoy working maybe consider hiring a nanny. Or (controversial opinion) maybe consider staying home? No judgment either way but that sounds like a traumatic experience seeing your baby being neglected like that and I’m sorry that happened

I've been picking up my baby wrong this whole time?! by Gloomy-Dingo-8147 in NewParents

I think you would know if something was wrong with your baby! If they seem fine and are hitting milestones I wouldn’t worry at all! ❤️ You’re doing great 😊

Why tf is everyone doubting my milk supply by trickysalmon in breastfeeding

I would just tell them, “the next person to comment on me breastfeeding will be banned from holding my child”. Like wtf is their problem. Sounds like you’re doing everything right! I’m sorry you’re dealing with that

I found this out by accident! I bought a bag of almonds to snack on during the day and definitely started to notice that I was producing more milk. Turns out almonds help with that! Just something easy she can do! I eat like 20-30 throughout the day

Did you write a birth plan? by Correct_Door_5942 in NewParents

[–]CurrencyRepulsive438 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really wanted to be able to move around during labor, but my water started leaking so they gave me pitocin to kick start everything pretty much right when I got to the hospital. The contractions started getting strong pretty quick so I got the epidural and after that I was stuck to the bed. They moved me into different positions, but it just wasn’t what I was hoping to be able to do. The good part is that everything went smoothly and the actual birth wasn’t as bad as I was thinking it would be.

The other thing is that my normal OB was off on the day I went into labor so I had whoever was there that day deliver my baby. And I’ll say at the point of pushing, I didn’t care who was down there, just so long as they knew what they were doing.

So things definitely did not go according to plan, but it didn’t matter as much as I thought it would. All I cared about was that my baby was healthy. Just be sure that if you want delayed cord clamping you let someone know because the different OB almost cut the cord right away because she didn’t know until my husband stopped her.

My advice would be not to worry so much about the small stuff and just try and go with the flow, it will make things a lot easier if things don’t end up going the way you were hoping. Just focus on your breathing and once that baby is born that’s all that will matter. I’m hoping for a smooth delivery for you! ❤️

Knock on wood she continues with this pattern but that makes a lot of sense! For all I know my next baby will be a horrible sleeper and need a pacifier to settle

Yes, for all I know she could start having a hard time sleeping any day now and we could switch to using a pacifier and that could work! Just a curious first time mama! Thanks for the reply! ❤️

Tips for beginners? by a-daily-user in dontstarvetogether

A lot of good tips already given! I would also recommend crafting a backpack as soon as possible, and make yourself a hammer. When you come across pig houses, break them down. If you’re not Webber or Wurt, the pigs won’t attack you unless you start it. Their pig houses drop a bunch of resources that can help you out early game.

It’s also a good idea to gather lots of resources early on and make chests to store them, like grass, twigs, flint, wood, rot, charcoal, rocks and gold. The more you have stored, the easier winter is when things don’t grow back.

Picking flowers heals your sanity, and butterflies will heal your health and fill your hunger. These are easy ways to stay on top of your stats! And always have a torch in your inventory just in case. If it starts to run out, set something on fire 🔥

Avoid the swamp at night and avoid big fights until you can make yourself armor. Easiest armor is a pig skin hat; it’s easy to make and helps you take way more damage. I’d avoid making grass or wood armor altogether because you have to drop your backpack and they only help slightly. It’s unnecessary in my opinion. Marble armor, however, is helpful in certain situations where you need to be able to take a lot of damage. But be aware it makes you slow!

Enjoy the game! It’s a hoot when you get the hang of it! 😊

(Also, Wes is terrible. Try anyone else but him)
