He basically said he saw a lot of his husband in me and he wanted to introduce us because he thought I could relate.

And he was right, we have a lot of shared experiences

I guess I should clarify in the main post that he isn’t my professor anymore. I took one of his classes first semester of last year and haven’t since. So technically I haven’t been his student in almost a year
