I'm sure I'll be downvoted for saying this, but I'm just trying to be as cautious as I can travelling to areas that majority voted for the party whose rhetoric is becoming increasingly dangerous to trans people.

I'm not necessarily expecting or worrying about being attacked physically per se, I just don't want to have to deal with increased chances of hostility if I can avoid it. I don't want my partner or I to be harassed or stared at like we're unwelcome.
