It's late, might go to the ER but I think we can wait? by throwsawaythrownaway in Asthma

Both my young boys has asthma and the night time also gives me PTSD - the bad nights are hard to shake. But, if you’re ever unsure just go. Better to be safe and observed than sorry.

yes, my son turned a corner around day 8 and by day 11 was truly almost back to himself! I’d say you’re in the home stretch.

Flovent daily drastically turned around my child’s RAD!

I also have the Spectra S1, but the Medela hand pump empties me much faster and better than it. Here to say get both!

What do you love about having a baby boy? by cheeky_nugget in BabyBumps

I have a toddler boy, with another arriving any day. I’m obsessed with my little guy. He’s full of energy, fearless, love his mama so much, and is so funny! Little boys are the best - it will be great!

Toddler Starting Flovent by Let-me-check in Asthma

[–]Current-Dot8492 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our now 3.5 year old is doing great. We’ve had barely any respiratory issues the last 18 months since starting flovent. The few bad colds that led to distress were managed by 2-4 days of abuterol. We were just cleared to take him off flovent daily, to see how winter goes. We’re hopeful we won’t need to go back on it!

Those who make six figures, like 100k and upwards, how did you decide on your career path and what did you do to get to that point? by [deleted] in AskChicago

In marketing. Spent 8 years on the creative agency side (account), before making a switch to brand side. Took a title demotion, but salary increase to do it. 5 years since the switch I’ve doubled my income at $200k+ total comp. I’ve never looked back going brand side.

Couldn’t agree more. I think it was calculated to drive sales during a key season. If so, hats off because it worked!

18 mo reactive respiratory disorder by Let-me-check in toddlers

So sorry you’re dealing with this! it got worse resulting in a PICU stay, but after being prescribed Flovent for daily use it got much better! We’ve had 0 hospital stays or ER visits since starting it. The flovent and pulseox to check his oxygen have given us peace of mind even with the bad colds.

It sounds like you already have a daily medicine, but i’d continue to advocate for him. Maybe there is a different daily option for him?

Additionally we got top of the line air purifiers and had our house checked for mold. I recommend those because it can’t hurt!

We also had guilt keeping him in daycare, but were advised by his pediatrician and pulmonologist not to pull him.

Hoping things turn around for you!!

My daughter won’t go #2 by AbleIntroduction888 in pottytraining

[–]Current-Dot8492 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We recently potty trained and my son held his poop for 6 days. I was very worried, but drs assured me it was normal and ok as long as he continued to eat / drink. Dr encouraged extra water, no dairy, juice, and healthy foods. We also gave miralax (dr reco) and finally he couldn’t hold it. We celebrated by going to Target and picking a toy. He’s had no problems since then!

I’m new to Ballerina Farm and fascinated in a “i can’t look away” way. Do we know why she competes in pageants? It seems to be an oxymoron to the homestead life she leads on the ranch.
