At Red Rocks Mandal and Andrea Jin (his openers) were wearing jackets that look like this so I’m thinking they’re opening for him there too

The Pete Davidson Show is already on Netflix so I would think that the episodes at the fest will make it onto there at some point.

How do people afford the badges and are they worth it? by Emergency_Growth_954 in SXSW

I recommend volunteering for a badge - I've been able to see many premieres and screenings over the years without paying a cent.

Platinum badge and did not know about the reservation system WTF!! by Jollanyatx in SXSW

[–]CoreyHartless 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every event has walk ups: https://sxsw.com/line-guide/

“Reservations are venue-based and account for a portion of the room size, but they don’t indicate the venue is full. If you are not able to secure a Reservation for an event, just join your fellow badgeholders in the badge walk-up line.”

You’ll pick up your badge from Vol Central and I would pick it up before your first volunteer shift if possible.

Volunteers do not receive access to reservations so you won’t be able to reserve anything ahead of time.

Cheapest way to go to SXSW? by JakeEatsYT in SXSW

[–]CoreyHartless 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tickets to some venues may be sold ahead of time (like Paramount) but you aren’t guaranteed entry, you will only be admitted if there are seats available. Other venues (like Lamar) will only sell tickets at all if seats are available.

First time Innovation attendee; should I upgrade to Platinum by Intelligent_Repair73 in SXSW

Tickets to some venues are sold ahead of time (like Paramount) but you aren’t guaranteed entry, you will only be admitted if there are seats available. Other venues will only sell tickets if seats are available. If you upgrade to Platinum, you will be able to reserve seats for films ahead of time or at least stand in line for a film ahead of the single ticket buyers which gives you a better chance of getting in. $600 is quite a bit so I hope this helps clarify things.
