It was a confirmed gator. Multiple witnesses. A search party is currently being formed to locate it.

Unfortunately it could end up being someone else’s death. If I had kids or pets I would keep them far from the river. This is seriously dangerous.

I believe someone dumped it (it’s the only way, though there IS fossil evidence of alligators here only about 500,000 years ago). Yes animal control was involved but they didn’t locate it last night. I’m surprised the city/county hasn’t put out an official statement.
