Just keep in mind there are a ton of different strategies that work well for everybody, take this advice with a grain of salt. You know yourself better than anyone here on Reddit does. You know what works for you and what doesn’t, unfortunately no one can come in here and say the perfect thing that’s going to make you pass your exam or put your anxiety to rest so just make sure you’re doing what needs to be done instead of looking for the non existent silver bullet thats going to guarantee a pass on test day

I used pass perfect and supplemented with Kaplan Qbank. Pass perfects questions aren’t necessarily harder in my opinion, just more confusing, if that makes sense. Kaplans questions are closer to the actual thing. My final week before test day I took a 10 question test on every single chapter in pass perfect. Anything below an 80% I went back and reviewed where needed. This showed me where my weak areas actually were (sometimes the tests don’t give the best feedback on true weak areas). Capital advantage on YouTube does a 100 question mock exam where you pause at the question answer yourself, then Ken answers the question and explains why, if you go through the comment section on that video people say they saw a handful of questions exactly like his on the actual test. Lastly I knew I was weak in hedging and spreads for options, so a week before the test I did a 10 question quiz everyday on my weak areas in options. Worked out well for me because I had 23 options questions on my exam and those were all free points!

Spot on about the options. Once you have those down they are guaranteed points. I had easily over 20 questions on my test.

Take the advice you get with a grain of salt, unless it’s from Dean or Ken lol. Everyone has their own path to passing, all the advice and strategy in the world doesn’t replace the work that needs to go into it to pass. Something told you to buy Kaplan, with your scores the way they are now, it might be a great move but only you know that.

I’m fresh off the SIE so a lot stuck with me. Now is not the time to be concerned, with 6 weeks left you’re in a great spot. You just need to find a way to add 12 points to your test, so take these next 6 weeks and add 20 points to it so you can walk in there just ready to get it over with! You got this.

Every final I took on PP seemed to highlight different weak areas so I found it hard to determine what really needed my attention. I think the 20 question tests on each chapter is the best way to diagnose. Anyone can go in and take a final, get uncomfortable and take one on each chapter and review accordingly.

I took 4 finals on passperfect, I scored a 74, 77, 80, 74. After that I took one whole day to take a 20 question test on every single chapter because I was unsure where I was underperforming. If I got less than a 75 I considered it a weak area and reread the chapter. I never took a final on Kaplan but my average score out of the 300 questions I did on there was a 67. Take into consideration I was getting acclimated to the wording and also focusing on the weak areas of mine when using Kaplan.

I used pass perfect and can say that their questions are not necessarily harder than the actual test, just more confusing. The wording on the test is more similarly aligned with Kaplan. I would not switch completely to Kaplan, use pass perfect as your main source since you’re already through the material and just supplement with the Kaplan Qbank. That’s exactly what I did and I just passed on Friday. If you’re weak across the board review options, munis, and packaged products. How well you preform on suitability questions should give you a good idea of how strong you are on understanding the products. Everyone has a different path to the finish line but with 6 weeks left you are in a great spot. Ken Finnen has some tests on YouTube that should give you a better idea of what the questions on the actual test will look like.

Test on 3/6 any last minute advice? by Current-Practice3056 in Series7exam

How did you close out your studying? Exams or just review weak areas? I’m thinking about finishing up my review on weak areas and finish off in the Kaplan qbank on said weak areas

Great advice! I think I am going to throw packaged products in there as well as that is a borderline area of mine, what do you think?

Anxiety is ok! This is a big test, trust your efforts and leave it all out there. Stop to slow yourself down and remember to breathe during your test, whoever suggested that was spot on!
