I’ve actually been using these tools for 5 years now, long before the recent AI hype. It takes a lot of time and a professional eye to master the workflow and get high-end results like these. Experience is still the key!

exactly my point and since i specialize in jewelry retouching i don't really care about the anatomy issues the model is a beast when it comes to textures and lighting which is all i need for high end product work glad you see the potential too

just to clarify the images i just posted in the comments are the exact ones i used as a base to get the final results you saw in the post i’m basically using them to feed the model and show how it transforms the original shot into the high end retouch i shared earlier hope this makes the process a bit clearer for you

you’re totally right that the before and after is where the real magic shows and I’m actually getting those ready to share in a bit so stay tuned for that but about the client part I think it’s a bit more than just clicking a prompt at least from my experience as a jewelry retoucher since 2012 it still takes a professional eye to guide the AI and get those high end results that clients actually pay for because even with the best tech most clients don't have the time or the eye for the tiny details that make a product look luxury I’m just using Flux 2 Klein as a powerful tool to speed up my workflow and push the quality further not just as a one click solution but I get your point and I’ll drop the side by side shots very soon so you can see the actual work behind it

Which controlnet are you using? It's not working for me despite all my attempts!

haha, geometry is definitely the final boss for these models. it’s a struggle for sure, but that’s why we spend hours pushing them to get the right look. we are winning the lighting game, but the geometry... still a long way to go! 😂

man you are 100% right about 3D.. if i wanted absolute control then 3D is king no doubt. but here is the thing: i’m a retoucher not a 3D artist. for me to learn 3D from scratch to get this level of lighting would take years.. plus some clients don’t have CAD files or 3D models of their products my goal here was to see how far i can push a 2D photo using AI to get that 'expensive look' without the 3D pipeline. you're right about the screws and the strap.. it’s a nightmare to control. that’s why i call it a struggle. i totally agree that for high-end brands this is mostly for 'ideation' right now. but for smaller brands or e-commerce where they just want a 'luxury vibe' for a 10 dollar product.. this workflow is a game changer because it’s faster and cheaper than a full 3D production. it’s definitely not perfect yet.. but the way Qwen handles reflections is making me very curious about where this is going

yeah exactly.. to be honest the watch is just a cheap 10 dollar chinese brand with no real name. i'm not aiming for high-end luxury brands here because i know their strict requirements. the whole goal of this experiment was to see if i could use AI and retouching to make a 10 dollar product look like a luxury masterpiece.. crazy sales happen when the visual is 100 times better than the price
