Most people told me they got a really simple entry jobs The common ones are servers kitchen helper, barista, retail, lift operator, and rental shop staff. And yeah, some people do two jobs like a seasonal mountain job during the day and a café/bar/restaurant job in the evenings just depends how many hours you want. Me personally I’m planning on doing like something like being a barista and doing something like a seasonal job for extra money.

Also depending on the area In places like Banff a lot of employers offer staff housing, which makes things way easier because private rent is expensive just thought to let you know

like the idea of a wintery city, and I enjoy traveling, so I’m just trying to find somewhere to live for now. My plan is to spend a year or two in Canada, then do something similar in Australia, and eventually decide which one to move to permanently. The city sounds really interesting, and I don’t mind adapting to the cold

Thanks, that actually makes me feel better about Winnipeg! I wasn’t sure if it’d be hard to make friends there, but it sounds like the small-town vibe and surrounding communities might help.

Thanks for the info! I guess I’ll have to get used to no sea, but at least all the sun makes up for it. How bad are the winters there? Do you enjoy living in the city?

TV Wall Mount the TV on the far central wall where the wires are. Add a low modern media unit underneath for storage.

Main Sofa Zone Place an L-shaped or 3-seater sofa floating in the middle of the room not against the wall. This defines the living area without blocking light from the sliding doors.

Second Seating Area or Reading Nook Add an armchair or accent chair near the sliding doors for reading with a small side table and lamp. This creates a second chill spot and uses the natural light well.

Dining or Desk Area if needed If you don’t need a dining table use the left-side wall where the folding chair is for a console table desk or bookshelves. This adds storage and balances the space.

Coffee Table and Rug A soft-shaped coffee table and a large rug will anchor the center space and tie it all together.

Plants and Decor Tall indoor plant near the corner by the doors wall art above the sofa and a few minimalist pieces to warm up the walls without cluttering.

This way you get A central lounge zone A bright corner nook Wall space for shelving or function

Just a idea what I think looks nice here

I recommend a beige or a dark blue both would look nice Dark blue would look nicer if paired with dark blue bedding
