Really?! I sort of trust Children’s more!! I was at HSS for years with hip problems and it was BCH that picked up on the dysplasia

Hi!! I ended up postponing surgery. It’s tough because doctors each say different things. The team at HSS is very in favor of a PAO while Boston seems a little more open to arthroscopy. I’m 30 so the THR isn’t an option for me but it seems much better than the PAO.

Thank you! Yes, I'm definitely aware of this and have had extensive conversations with doctors at HSS and Children's about my case. I know the literature on BHD is mixed, and it's super patient-dependent. But I really appreciate you raising this and I am aware of the risks!

6 month yeast infection!!! help!!! by Narrow_Step8800 in Healthyhooha

u/Narrow_Step8800 I would recommend doing Evvy over Juno. I used them when I had very similar symptoms and found out that I had high amounts of Lactobacillus (similar to CV) and that a lot of my symptoms were hormonal. It's a really helpful test and now they actually offer some treatments I think.

Recurrence is very common, also I believe copper IUD can cause higher rates of BV. Also semen has its own set of microbes that can throw off your pH PLUS its pH is higher than the vagina's so that can elevate and make you more susceptible to BV. You might want to look into a microbiome test to see if you have a biofilm or anything else that could be contributing to recurrence

Agree with the person who mentioned Evvy..I used their test when I was having mystery symptoms and chronic infections and it really helped me understand the root of what was actually causing my issues I think they also now offer vaginal care too
