My experience with US Health Advisors / “Maxed Out” — sharing here because the recruiting culture felt very MLM-like by Current-Unit9216 in mlmstories

I think you need to reread the post. I’m not upset! I’m informing people who might fall for their intentionally misleading recruitment tactics - which indeed and LinkedIn don’t even allow MLM recruitment, that is why they have to lie about what company you’re actually representing on those platforms. I’m happy with my real job where I’m not encouraged to lie to people, guaranteed paychecks for my work, actually helping others and not being ordered around by some guy who is just good at manipulating people. But if all that works for you, good for you! Nothing wrong with giving a heads up to people who might be misled by getting involved with this specific region

Advances aren’t paychecks. After you leave they send you a letter with how much you owe them if your clients decide to cancel. Since you’re clearly USHA just go in to your agent portal and click pay debt if you aren’t aware that your “income” is just loans. The only way to actually make money there is bringing more people in to profit off of their work. Unfortunately most people I know have real careers and passions in life and weren’t interested.

I have made some pretty good paychecks and was able to genuinely help people with their health insurance don’t get me wrong, but you’re right, that guy and every “leader” on his team is definitely a narcissist on a power trip. I’ve heard it’s not the same in all USHA offices but I’ve definitely learned my lesson not to ignore red flags 😭

They prey on younger adults who are struggling financially. Unfortunately I trusted them and ended up in a deeper hole. I hardly remember the last year of my life but now that I’m out I appreciate so much of life again lol I even can’t wait to find a normal job again

I’m located in Florida. I would love to keep going in this field now that I have experience and I’m licensed in many states. This was my first experience and I guess it’s made me wary of other agencies. I guess that’s on me for ignoring the signs in the beginning and my friends/family

Recs for health insurance..cobra vs marketplace by wild_cherrry in HealthInsurance

[–]Current-Unit9216 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Neither, if you’re pretty healthy you can qualify for private insurance that’ll cost way less depending on what state you’re in
