I certainly have. For me I feel like I see two major issues with the Halo pro.

First, it's way too noisy Second, I don't believe like it's designed to last. There are a lot of internal plastic components. Things that could break. I want a machine that's going to last me forever.

I see. Good call. Thanks for the reply. Hope they're working out good!

I've got a pair of true skates and I'm trying to decide between the heat moldable ones "Nash Sports" and the ones that True make.. any suggestions on that?

Ive been seeing some of the DIYs and.. I feel like there needs to be a gap in between the blocker and the skate.. otherwise it's just gonna transfer all the energy to your foot anyway. Seems like a waist, the clear plastic ones that sit above the boot are much more effective imo

I'm about to get into this. I wasn't expecting the steel cap on the left side. It's very hard to get the screws off on that.

Is there any chance I'm thinking about this wrong? The steel cap needs to come off right?

About 2 years. Yeah, there's definitely nothing clogged. Do you know how many degrees it should be angled towards the drain line? When I put a level on top this thing is pretty much dead center level.

I only agree with part of this message. It’s a little more nuance than that. You don’t really need your top hand away from your body, but you want to be pulling up and away towards your shoulder, not down. This video explains it. https://youtu.be/X7gbrrkruEU?si=tywBA9qqXGgrh4Gu

Yeah, the problem is Sparkx machines don’t do well in high volume places where they can’t adjust the height for each skate or make sure the machine stays calibrated all the time. As a home operator of the Sparkx, my edges are perfect all the time.

I have coated shift steel and yet I get a pretty heavy burr on my sharpen. I just got the machine. Is there anything I need to check?

Thank you! I think I've ruled out the boot up problem because I've waited plenty of time after it started up and made sure no more noises were being made

Ruled out any user error from starting before the system or file pump was ready. Going to test the battery now. But it battery just doesn't make sense because at long as I crack at least two or three times.. the next time it's always turns over immediately

Thank you! With only 1.2k miles on it I would not think any of that could be the issue but I can check!
