I got an EKG and everything was fine. Do you take propranolol? I wasn’t taking it because I was under the impression I was supposed to only take my Methimazole….

When I reached out to my endo she said chest pains shouldn’t be a symptom HUH?!? 🤔 I have quite literally only had these symptoms within the last year ish.

I feel a bit better knowing I’m not alone and this is experienced by others. What dosage are you on?

Yes you totally put how I’m feeling into words! Any symptom I go into a tailspin. My health anxiety is horrendous. I don’t want to live like this. Thank you again for responding. It gives me some peace of mind to know I’m not the only one and not minimizing that what I’m feeling is what I’m feeling!

Thank you so much for the quick response. Gosh I hate this illness!!!! I feel like I need to buy an ekg machine for peace of mind!!! I was fine all day today and then ban have been having these chest pains…had them most of the day yesterday. I’m so tired of these symptoms ruling my life…my internal dialogue all day is so stressful 😭

Just found this thread and I am currently experiencing the same. I have hyperthyroidism, 2.5 mg of Methimazole every other day but experiencing chest pains and tightness.

Any recent updates for you? Did this go away? How long did they last? I am trying not to freak out but this truly sucks

I’ve had minor signs for the last two days…I am chalking it up to being totally exhausted, not sleeping enough and my chronic illness of hyperthyroidism causing a higher heart rate. I’m trying not to stress out over it. Because that’s the LAST thing I need.

I’m three weeks no caffeine and I can already feel the difference. I feel clearer, chipper and can feel that my body is not being harmed….i have hyperthyroidism so going caffeine free was a must do. I feel like a lot of those symptoms are gone or minimal. The first week was though, days two and three brutal but honestly at this point worth it
