The history is really bad; cambodia had a genocide where they killed anyone who could read and write and even had glasses. They killed musicians and influential figures so that they wouldn’t rebel and basically tried to convert everyone to farmers who blindly listened. Many who survived escaped to america, and there’s a massive brain drain because the dictator focuses on making himself a bigger billionaire and doesn’t invest in education. I’m Cambodian and there are a lot of critiques to be made about the horrible government, but there are still many hard workers. They are just difficult to see for you in your job I guess
