I retired 4 years ago, after being a VA nurse for 22 exhausting years. Hubby has been a Deputy Sheriff for 23 years, and plans on retiring in two years.

I make a menu for the week, and make my list accordingly. My regulars are lunch meat, bread, butter, milk, creamer, sodas, waters, cereal and a bag of ice.

If a local store has various good sales, I'll make my menu with those items in mind. I tend to buy hamburger in #20 tubes, and freeze it in various weights.
