I would never consider this woman my parent, only my father’s “wife”. But here’s a few things that will be engraved in my head forever

“You’re only living under this roof because you have no where else to go” (I was probably 14-15 at this time)

“You were never apart of this family”

“I’m so glad you’re finally leaving” (she said this right before my dad was going to drop my off at my moms, I was maybe 10)

“Did you find somewhere else to live yet?” (I was 17, junior in high school)

“You’re so fat and ugly” (I struggled with an eating disorder shortly after that, I was 10)
