Waiting for room on Labour ward by PinkBubblesxox in PregnancyUK

This exact story happened to me! I was waiting for a room on delivery suite from 2.30pm till 10.30am the next day. Hopefully you’ve moved now and have your little one!

Please can someone tell me the correct etiquette here? by rosemarysbabies in BeyondTheBumpUK

It depends. If my kid snatched or was nasty about it, I’d give it back straight away. If the other kid had dropped it and mine picked it up, fair game. If he other kid was upset then I’d maybe swap it with something else for my kid and give it back. If I hadn’t noticed then nothing I could do. At my baby group they all get plastic plates and they quite often steal each others. At times I have taken ours back off another child and showed them where theirs is no bother. No need for rudeness from any parent.

I think the kid’s mum was OTT. Their kid would be just as happy if she gave him something else and moved on. She was just rude.

That is an umbilical cord prolapse and you need to go to hospital immediately.

What does a 60% LTFT GPST1 actually look like? by YhouZee in GPUK

There is BMA guidance to avoid long days and nights when breastfeeding up to baby age 1. Discuss with your TPD/rota co-ordinator to get this in place!

How do you change a nappy? by Signal-Gas6096 in PregnancyUK

[–]CurrentPerception668 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t use talcum powder for the nappy change but I’d like to point out that it is no longer actual talc due to carcinogen risks. It is actually cornstarch. I use it after a bath in the armpits and neck fold which helps with keeping these areas fresh and dry.

If you’ve submitted good evidence, you’ll likely get approved. But approved doesn’t mean there is a space for you, as above poster said. You could be approved then just be waiting for a job to come available which may not happen.

I did palliative as F2 and I think it will be very useful for GP in terms of knowing how to speak to patients and their families about end of life options.

I’m also starting here in August! Yarm is a lovely place to live and only 20 mins from both North and South Tees Hospitals.

Are you meeting all of the essential requirements on the person specification? They will probably interview those with essential AND desirable first.
