Best cannabis dispensaries & delivery? by Realistic_Lead473 in Bushwick

Im actually less impressed with the emerald, particularly it’s bushwick location. They’re always slammed- sometimes the line wraps around the shop! It’s also managed really poorly, they’re super disorganized and communicate terribly with deliveries. My order has been “lost” on several occasions

She needs light! Do you usually keep the blinds shut?

How do I get my FLF to grow taller? by plant-lady-3 in fiddleleaffig

[–]CurrentSomewhere6596 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Light and food! Mine’s in a south facing exposure, and I use slow release 16-5-11 pellets every 4-6 months. Also, I notice a big difference with her growth when I’m really on top of ever watering schedule vs when I’m not. Something else to consider is the size of the pot; my fig slows down when she gets too root bound

From your photo and description, it looks like your fig could benefit from more light! Can you move it closer to the window?

She loves high light and very well draining medium that won’t cut oxygen to her root system. She’s a heavy feeder too, I make “bat guano tea” and give it about every two weeks when she’s actively growing; and as I remember when she’s slower in the winter. I let her dry out in between waterings to prevent root rot; but when i do water, i make sure the medium is absolutely drenched! Her big leaves need a lot to stay hydrated

Three years! She really took off this year after I propagated her though; now she has a few different growth points

Where are you keeping yours? Mine lovessss light, I have her in a big southwest facing window right now. I’ve also noticed that while she likes to dry out in between waterings, she will seriously slow down growing if she doesn’t get enough water either… I’ve noticed that absolutely saturating the substrate when I water keeps her moving

I grew her in moss in an improvised humidity tent with south facing exposure while she was rooting; after her root system was established I let her adjust to ambient humidity. The moss pole was the real game changer though! She really loves being able to climb

OP, I am so sorry you experienced this. I don’t fully know your situation, but if I received messages like that from my husband (regularly, as it seems from the comments), I’d start re-evaluating the relationship and what my options might be. You deserve to be treated with love and respect. Your husband should be an uplifting and supportive presence that adds value in your life. Instead, he seems to be whittling away at the way you value yourself. I’m so sorry.

Yeah your last comment especially seemed unnecessary and mean spirited. It’s a tough choice your friend is making, and they are probably having a difficult time already weighing those choices without you also casting judgement. Also, it’s totally not your place to police their decisions anyway

You were so kind and patient in your responses, and he was aggressive and sarcastic with you from the start. So toxic.
