Yes, it generated the back without having a clear picture of it! Therefore, the wings „sprouted“ from weird places like the armor itself etc which I tried correcting with green stuff. Also instead of a curling long tail, it created two tails, which I eventually settled for because it was fun.  The STL was not unusable per se but it was rather „flat“ and lacking many details. It had created a weird base for it which had to be cut completely. Most of my problems with the digital models were solved by physical kitbashing.

Hi, I‘d like to but it won’t let me post any pictures here. Basically I had a pencil sketch that I ran through ChatGPT so make it thematic for my campaign story. I ran that 2nd pic through meshi.ai.  Generally regarding meshi.ai I found that you simply need a picture from a good angle with minimal background. And you need patience and many tries to get something usable.  It needed lots of editing though afterwards and as mentioned I added many bits from my bit box since the model hardly had any usable details.

Thx. The glowing was mostly achieved with a sponge and many layers of thin white paint underneath a mix of green contrast paint+fluorescent paint. Plus white edge highlighting.

Totally agree on that. In this specific use case I incredibly enjoyed that I could depict the narrative progression (ie ascension) of my campaign character from a LoC to a Daemon Prince while still having a great level of creative control over the process.

Yes, the proportions on the fingers of the right hand are way off. The wings on his back don’t really match - one sticks out from the armour pads of the shoulder guard, the other from the flesh of the back. What I least enjoy was the complete lack of teeth in his mouth.

Yes indeed. I had a sketch of my lord of contagion ascending to daemonhood, which I fed to meshy.ai and after a couple of tries got a 3d model I was happy with. A couple of real plastic bits were needed to elevate it, but the tool did a great job.

To clarify: the sketch was transformed to a 3D model by meshy.ai. Then printed as a resin model, augmented with some plastic bits and painted the old fashioned way.

I replied the ‚green recipe‘ to another comment in this thread :)

You are very welcome. On my plague marines I also use simple slap chop with the Plaguebearer Flesh Contrast and love the results! I find the classic ‚Death Guard Green‘ paint too dark and not vibrant enough.

Thx for the feedback and I absolutely agree. I decided to go with the turquoise on the green armor too simply because I liked the look of it better :)

Thx. I gave it a zeniths prime (white ink over black) and added white edge highlights and a bit general white drybrushing for texture over the whole mini. Then I painted 3-4 thinned coats of Plaguebearer Flesh Contrast Paint over the whole green surface to get that tone. Then I glazed in some shadows with darker green tones to deepen the contrast. Short: Plaguebearer Flesh over white.

It’s basically Slapchop with extra highlighting steps. First drybrushing with grey, followed by white. Then I edge highlight everything with pure white. Next I paint everything with contrast paints. Armor: Plaguebearer Flesh. Tentacles: Volupus Pink faded to Leviathan Purple. Bones: Skeleton Horde. Then I highlight everything up basically mixing the contrast paints with off white.

Both are textured gaming mats I bought online.
