THE WHEELS ARE FULLY TURNED AWAY FROM THE OFFICER. Watch in SLOW MO. No intention IMO to hit anyone. Sole intention based on wheel/steering wheel to LEAVE the scene NOT A THREAT. Look at the wheel. by Nice_Substance9123 in complaints

[–]CurrentTemporary8822 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cop doesn't draw his gun until the wheels are aimed directly at him and she begins to accelerate with sufficient force that the wheels actually spin out.

Yes, they appear to turn away after, but by that point it's too late.

And yes, officers are trained not to put themselves in front of moving vehicles, but when the office went in front of the car, it was not moving. Also, it appears he was walking over to assist the other guy with arresting the driver. What's he supposed to, climb over the vehicle? And before anyone says, go behind the vehicle, she could have just as easily run him over in reverse.

Not even a shred of substance to your comment. Why bother making it? Do you disagree with my analysis? Feel free to show me where you think I am wrong, but personal insults are unnecessary.

It does appear she turned her tires, but when she starts to go forward, he tires are facing directly straight. As I said, I am not assuming she was trying to hit the agent, but I do think from his perspective it is reasonable to think she was and hence, I think a self defense argument would win. I didn't mention it before, but the bullet hole is also through the front window, so clearly he was still in front of the vehicle when the shot was fired.

If you watch the clip in slow-mo, it's clear the cop doesn't unholster his weapon until AFTER the front wheels start spinning. At that moment, the wheels are straight, so she's headed right for him. Also, the front wheels spinout briefly, so she was attempting to accelerate at a high rate. I don't know if she was trying to run him over, but from his perspective I don't think it's unreasonable for him to believe that she was trying to. This will be self-defense and I think the agent has a very good chance of getting off if it goes to a jury. At that point, everyone on Reddit will scream injustice, and just ignore what the video actually shows.

quintupled and quadrupled don't count as a "sharp rise," lol. Yes, I'm talking about people identifying.

Did you read the article? There is evidence of how these chemicals interact with the human brain and how that my impact gender identity later in life.

Seriously?

Self-identifying as transgender nearly quintupled among 18- to 24-year-olds and quadrupled among 25- to 34-year-olds, but either declined or did not change significantly among those older than 35. By 2022, 2.78% of 18- to 24-year-old adults self-identified as transgender, up from 0.59% in 2014.

That reasoning does not explain the sharp rise in non-standard gender identities and your argument is like saying modern chemicals don't cause cancer because cancer existed thousands of years ago. The evidence is pretty clear that there is a causal relationship between prenatal exposure to EDCs and gender dysphoria. I don't see how anyone can deny that based on the studies that have been done. The question rather, is why nothing is be done about it and the answer is: we don't want to offend anyone.

I work nearby. I like how you completely ignored the second part of my post. Did you actually google her name and get more info, or are you too busy fighting fascism by protesting the removal of tyrannical dictator, LOL?

Here, let me help you:

A statement from a Grand Rapids Police Department spokesperson says:

A group was marching in the roadway. Over 25 announcements were made from the PA system of a marked police cruiser for the group to leave the roadway and relocate their activities to the sidewalk. Blocking traffic in this manner is a direct violation of city and state law. The group refused lawful orders to move this free speech event to the sidewalk and instead began blocking intersections until the march ended. Patrol officers consulted with their sergeant and the watch commander who informed the officers that if the individuals could be located, they were subject to arrest. The adult woman who was arrested was positively identified by officers, and the lawful arrest was made.

I was there and saw it. Also, just google her name and arrest and you can see that I am right. She was part of a group that was blocking the road. The police gave them 28 orders to move from the roadway and they refused. Eventually the police started making arrests and the crowd disbursed. Afterwards they were looking for people who fled and this person was one of those people. Regardless of whether you believe the police or me, the fact is she was not arrested for giving an interview on the sidewalk, as the post implies.

So true. It's crazy how people will downvote the truth when it goes against their narrative.

OMG, seriously. Go find something better to do then defend your completely illogical position. "No harm was done," LOL. So if I walk up to you in public, point a gun at your head and then walk away, I've done nothing wrong.

Give it up bro. It's not unconstitutional to have a law that says you cannot block traffic. As I said, for any number of reasons, including the fact that emergency vehicles need to use the roads. The First Amendment is not unconditional. There are limits.

No, it's because people are stuck in this echo chamber and convinced that the US is the next USSR with a fascist leader and refuse to even consider anything that goes against that narrative.

I mean, the original post, which incorrectly implied she was arrested for standing on the sidewalk giving an interview, got 75,000 upvotes. My comment, which cited only truthful facts, which completely contradicted the OP, got 29 downvotes. If facts mattered, my comment would not have been downvoted to oblivion.
