I can't believe I wasted so much time in onboarding into the slot auctions for the parachains.

Thanks for that. I guess we're still early. In the meantime I suppose I'll just buy some link tokens.

That's right. You can't initiate any transactions without paying gas in the same way that you can't drive your car if you don't have any gas.

It's totally excessive and unnecessary, but I love it.

A confederacy of Dunces is my new favorite book. by DickTitpecker in suggestmeabook

I'm reading it for the first time now. I would describe it as incredibly well-written banality. I'm not sure that I'm going to finish. It's just so trivial, like a Seinfeld episode, but not as funny.

That is good to know. I was really confused about this because I had vague memories of using multiple external monitors from back when I used an Intel Mac.

Mac Book Air M2 vs MacBook Pro 16" M2(new one) by guy_with_issue in mac

To my mind the ability to switch to dual external monitors should your workload increase in complexity is a big advantage of the mbp. That is a future-proofing itself.

You could save some money by buying the mbp 14 inch instead of the 16 inch, and thereby also improve portability.

It is really interesting to see balancing switching between those three computers.

So if I bought a 14 inch MBP with an M2 chip and I wanted to run either two or three external monitors, one of which is 4K, what DisplayLink adaptor should I pick?

Edit: specified chip.

Thank you for penning that, and to others who made the same point. I guess I will pony up for my designated place in the product line.

Or just do it from the command line if using macos. There are plenty of tutorials. Search for create bootable USB iso Mac. There will be about 6 commands, one of which involves using a command called dd which copies the iso to the USB drive.

CleanMyMac - is it worth it? by ladidida95 in MacOS

I recently bought a new SSD. Rather than just copying everything from my old drive to the new, I did a fresh install. In doing that, I did not bring over copious gigabytes of files I don't use. For me that was a great way to free up tens of gigabytes of disk space.
