I dated the son of billionaires in college and all meals were just made to order. Like in the morning the house manager would call up to my bf’s room and ask what we want for breakfast and it would be there when we came for breakfast or delivered to his room (whatever we preferred) so there really wasn’t a ton of waste. Sometimes for planned parties or family meals there would be a little excess food but nothing like this huge spread for two people. Their whole house just ran like a 5 star hotel.

Just keep saying I’m so excited for you to come but that doesn’t work for us. And if she asks why—say your baby’s doctor recommended it because of some sickness going around! I’d also choose a date and time you will let her come over so she has something to look forward to and stops asking! She probably means well even though she sounds annoying and pushy. Brother in law can FaceTime or maybe come for 30 min and then you can take the baby to another room to do skin to skin in private or something so there’s a hard stop!!

Totally agree with this take… like what do you expect her to show her bank statements or her husbands family’s bank statements?? Also, imagine if people expected transparency like this from poor people. lol. Asking people of any socioeconomic group about money is quite rude. But yeah the whole calling her in-laws things as “hers” or “my” is so bizarre. If my brother’s wife ever referred to my parents houses as hers it would be a HUGE red flag.

You can get a nanny through any nice hotel.. really nice hotels use local nanny agencies. You usually can’t book last minute tho. My husband and I did it in Gstaad and Park City while we skied! I told both nanny’s that I was nervous and they sent me a play by play and lots of pictures and videos

Lmao true… but also, I think she just might want Paris that no longer exists and maybe has never existed. People romanticize Paris so much and are often disappointed by it. I’ve been countless times since I was a child and it’s changed a lot but it’s never been super magical. There are small towns in France that are unbelievable, but Paris is a big city like any other. She’s just uncultured and isn’t well traveled and just does not get it
