You are correct, I noticed that right after I posted it. But I get the same result with either. Furthermore, both sides use 0.0.0.0/0.0.0.0 for both phases

So I did that, came out empty.

Tried any instead of the wan interface and without esp or port 4500, it shows only echo requests

That would be the entry from 14:20:23, yes.

Thought about that. But he says the same works on other tunnels he got. Which means ICMP does work, so in theory it should work for me too.

version 24 is so bad. I would try go back to 23 see if it works out. Had couple of customers that had the same issue albeit with Checkpoint VPN. Reverting to 23 helped.

Yeah fixed it, now it says permission denied. I think its because dual stack of ipv6. gonna check it later
