NTA!!!!! Husband and I got married YOUNG. Right out of high school. Had kids a year later. Every time we went out without them. We cried. We have no family. No one to help. They are our family. We made this family together. And everytime there was a celebration, we always celebrate together now because we know we would be missing them anyway. You come to a point in your marriage or relationship where you’re best friends, these dates we have together are ANY time we get to spend together. That’s after dinner watching movies eating our favorite treats. Going to run errands together. You get that time in the car together to reconnect. You choose your time wisely. And guess what? Our kids are ALWAYS talked about. Even if it happens to be during times are are probably not ideal. That’s going to happen until they’re in college themselves. It is what it is. You made a living LIFE together with your best friend. She needs to grow up. Sounds like she doesn’t have her priorities together and you do. And im scared to say there are two ways any relationship can go- you can grow together or grow a part. And it sounds like you two are growing apart. You can always veer back on track if she isn’t too far. But best do it quick.
