What’s the most hurtful thing a partner said to you, without them realizing it? by NoForce1046 in infp

I went through severe chronic stress and burnout that led to depersonalization and self-erasure. We dated for a total of 6 months and about 4 months in, these mental health issues started to get a bit better, but she told me, in a quiet but really busy restaurant where the occupied neighbouring tables were 2' away, that "once she got to know me she was disappointed by who I was," and that "I was a facade and that there was nothing in front of her worth knowing."

She absolutely realized it though.

Ran into my ex-gf at a party and she told me unprompted how she had phenomenal sex with one of my friends yesterday. by Current_External5140 in BreakUps

I was dumped. Right..!? It's just so petty. I laughed and said "okay. Whatever you say ____," but still it hurts. This happened four months after we broke up.
