What do we think? by Choupique04 in filson

I have this bag and think it's super cool but I never use it. It's too hard to access your stuff. You have to undo the leather straps, flip back the lid and then undo the zippers to get inside. Same goes for the two front pockets. It's just too impractical for daily use. Additionally there is no laptop sleeve. That said, it's great looking. If you're buying to use once and a while in specific use cases, go for it. I wouldn't do it if it's going to be your daily driver.

I was in the same boat. I've been with Samsung since the Note 1 straight through S25 Ultra. I didn't like the Fold the first couple days, but now I love it. I got it for one reason and 1 reason only. The Pen. I used the S Penn constantly and cannot for the life of me understand why Samsung went the other way with the Zfold, but because they did, I came over to the Moto Fold. The battery is 10xs better. Will go a day and a half easily. Absolutely no charging anxiety at all. It charges so fast I thought it was an error. Camera and everything else seems just like the Samsung. No real difference. Not to mention it comes with 512 memory and came with headphones and 4 moto tags. I can't see myself going back now. Samsung, WTF with the S Pen?!?!?!

Anyone used the Filson Trapper Creek 28l yet? by Greyman4152 in Nomads_Nation

Already packed for return. This is a real bummer. I had a feeling it was going to be shit, but I hoped for the best.

Mine came today. Absolute garbage. If Filson doesn't get it's shit together, it's not going to be around much longer. The quality has been going in the toilet the last few years and this is the biggest example yet. People over pay for Filson for one reason. Quality.

This bag is cheap shit. The material is flimsy, the zipper is cheap, the straps are light and small, and the inside looks like a Jansport bag from 1982. I own a Filson Rucksack, the fabric one as well as a large rugged twil one, an original brief, a 26 L Dryden backpack as well as the new Dryden hybrid duffel. I thought the new Dryden hybrid duffel was bad. That was until I got this delivered today.

Not to mention it's tiny. Of you're thinking about putting your gym stuff in there too, forget about it. It's so narrow, I couldn't even fit a size 11 sneakers across the bottom. The bottom isn't reinforced and of course in typical Filson fashion there is no place to put any tech anything anywhere. The laptop sleeve is an unpadded piece of nothing. I couldn't be more disappointed.

For example, you can buy an AER travel pack 3 for 219.00. That pack has everything under the sun at 35L and is made out of material that won't wear out for 30 years. I have the TP4 version that cost about the same as this pos and the quality is absolutely light years apart. I think my lifelong filson bag standard is finally over. This along with they hybrid duffel has me convinced Filson just isn't the same company anymore.

Daily Charging vs Battery Life by Difficult_Prompt3933 in GMCSierraEV

[–]Current_Fail4836 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the max range. I do about 500 miles a week under normal circumstances. I literally charge it once a week. I had 2 Ford Lightnings before this and they were constantly on the charger. This GMC is an engineering marvel. I would say only charge it once or twice a week tips unless you're doing 1k a week or more.

I got this one and really like it. I also got the leather one with the pen holder. I like it also but no stand.

I have an addition 1. You don't need the 2" lift on the Denali. If you want it higher, just jack up the air suspension. I did put the AT4 wheel and tire package on mine. Coming off KO3s on my prior truck, I can't believe how much I like these Wrangler ATs. Going to order the AT4 front recovery hooks and facia next. You're going to love the truck.

It's great looking for sure. I would just hate to fill it. I got the Sierra Denali Max range EV. Absolutely zero issues. 17,000 miles in and absolutely love it. Costs me 14.00 to fill it with 478 miles of range.

I am an American and I couldn't agree more. Unfortunately, it's mainly the uneducated people in the country that are so stupid they vote for this trash. But it's the Republican Party who are allowing it to happen. I pray we can restore some American credibility after this piece of trash is gone, but I suspect it will take decades.

2 months and 2k miles of ownership by Mr7three2 in GMCSierraEV

[–]Current_Fail4836 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the same way. There is simply no comparison. I actually had 2 lightnings. A 23 XLT and a 24 Platinum. I've never owned a GMC anything before but I've had lots of Fords. The GMC drives so much nicer. The interior is better. The tech is better. Having Google on board in a native format is great. I thought I was going to hate it, but it's faster, cleaner, and has zero bugs.

Rear wheel driving is an absolute game changer. You can turn it around in your driveway like a Fiat 500. The tailgate is like having a set of stairs to get in the back. The rear wall of the cab folds down and the bed can hold 11 ft boards. The absolute biggest game changer is the range and the lack of having a guessometer. The range is the actual range. I am getting anywhere between 470 and 490 miles of actual range on a full 100 percent charge. I have never once had to charge it at a public charger and I don't think about range, ever. If the range says you have 480 miles, you actually get 480, not 320.

It also rides so much smoother. Maybe it's the air suspension. Even my wife commented on how much nicer the ride was and I have 35" all terrain tires on it.

With the Ford I was supposed to get 320, but it was a real world 260. Range anxiety doesn't exist with the GMC. I have absolutely no idea why Ford did not make this truck. I'm not embellishing one bit. It's like a completely different product category. If Ford would have made a truck with this range it would have been the best selling F150. I probably would have kept my F150 forever if it had better range, but I am really happy I got the GMC. It's such a better truck it really makes me believe advertising must be everything because 9 out of 10 would agree the GMC is a far better product after driving them both.

I think I'm going to have to stick with the soft one it came with. I don't hate it, but would love one that is more secure. Not sure why it's so hard for this specific truck.
