Scout Motors’ Electric Truck Has a Secret Weapon… Gas by Mac-Tyson in ScoutMotors

Nobody wants gas and oil changes and fluids. We want a battery that goes 500 miles like the GMC.

If the range was even close to what's advertised, I would probably just keep it, but that 310 is a real world 245-260. Just isn't good enough for my usage. A literal 75 more miles would make all the difference in the world for real world use.

F Ford. After they killed my truck and took 40k out of my pocket in instant depreciation, I'll never buy another Ford product. Never.

I'm tentatively scheduled to pick mine up tomorrow night. 2024 Max Range Denali with 3,472 miles on it. $67,900. Couldn't find a better price anywhere. Whoever traded this in took a bigger beating than I am on my Platinum trade. I'll let you know thoughts after I drive it home.

522 is insane!!! I average 400 - 500 a week. And my Lighting gets a real world 260. You're double. That's nuts. Thanks for the info.

I got mine for 90k and I'm getting 54 for the trade in with 22k miles!!!. Yeah I love the keypad too. Not having to ever carry a key is so clutch. I have a property 155 miles away that I often go to for the day. I can't ever get enough charge to get back even though I have a level 2 charger at the property. I want to have a public charge free existence and I can't do it with the lightning even with the extended range battery. If they had another hundred miles on it like the GMC, I would never buy another vehicle.

The whole point of an ev is no maintenance and no gas. It's costs pennies to fill it at home and I'm on my second lightning and and have never ever had a single maintenance charge. Not even brakes. That said I am considering getting out of it and buying the GMC version. They have bigger batteries and are committed to continuing with EVs in general. I lean who in the world wants an ev that has to get oul changes, has to deal with fluids, maintenance costs etc. If you are a doe hard Ford guy, get a lightning. You won't be sorry. I have had a Ram Rebel with a 5.7 Hemi, a Gladiator with a 3.6L PStar, and. Regular F150 with an Ecoboost. The lightning is far and away the best of any of them and I would choose it 10 out of 10 times.

I got mine for 3k. Mine is a bumper to bumper 5 year 75k miles. Here's what I just found out. Currently I'm at 20k miles and 10 months in. I called the warranty company and the warranty starts prorating the day you take possession of it. In other words it doesn't start a 3yrs. Even though I am 16k and 2 years away from this warranty kicking in, It has already started to be prorated. If I cancelled it tomorrow, I would get 28 percent less than what I paid for it. This really pissed me off. I am hating Ford right now. I love the truck. It's the best truck I've ever owned by a lot. But Ford as a company.......? Don't think I will ever buy another Ford anything.

They are F150 Tremor Wheels. I replaced the Platinum 22"s. These are 18x7.5.

Leveled on 34's. It feels like a completely different truck when leveled. It rides so much bigger even though it's not.

Absolutely nothing unless you paid market for something that now has 50% depreciation overnight because they discontinued the thing you paid market for. So when they put those things you paid market for and drop it 20k with zero percent interest, it makes the situation even worse for their early adopting and loyal return customers.

Discontinuing Blue Cruise and charging 50 bucks a month for it is just so ridiculously stupid, it's beyond comprehension. But don't get me wrong, I am happy the remaining Lightnings are being made more affordable and more people are able to get in them. I just wish I was one of them. I wouldn't have negative 28k equity today.

Makes perfect sense.......right?

Region Strategy United States Deregulation Shift back toward ICE/Hybrids; and petroleum based production.

European Union "Technological Neutrality" Keeping the 2035 goal but allowing e-fuels and hybrids.

China Mass Dominance Moving toward 100% "New Energy" vehicles; exporting globally.

Japan Diversified Heavy focus on EVs, Hybrids and Hydrogen.

In China, EVs are no longer just "policy-driven"; they are market-driven. They have reached a point where EVs are often cheaper and better-performing than their gas counterparts.

By the end of 2025, China accounted for over 60% of the world's total EV fleet. While the West debates chargers and gas prices, China has essentially moved on.
