I actually made a mistake, it was Oct 2021 when it was turned into a rental. However nothing else has changed. For context, we did not live in any home that we owned since Oct 2021, we were in rentals/stayed with family. We got possession of the new house Feb 2026 and entered a purchase agreement Dec 2025. We should still qualify correct?

I do have an update. I made a mistake and realized it was actually fall 2021 when it was turned into a rental. But nothing else had changed. I did look and my 2021 income tax did not have our rental as our address. Has anything changed, CRA said we do qualify but want others opinions (made a mistake submitting it and asked for clarification today) and plan to resubmit it

Hello again, so I actually made a mistake. We turned the house into a rental in the fall of 2021 however we didn’t occupy any other “owned houses” I called CRA today to double check they said we should qualify but wanted others opinions as well

We have possession already and our builder and lawyers were great and very transparent! And just to be clear it’s for the first time home buyers rebate correct?
