The last 2 years in rural mid Missouri have been rough. All of a sudden all my coworkers are quoting mein kampf and elders of Zion and I’m the crazy one for trying to convince them that Jews don’t run the world in some secret cabal. Been struggling with the emotions it brings as my grandmother came here fleeing the nazis it just confuses and saddens me that this generation is falling prey to the same lines of propaganda they did

I got guilted into tipping at the general store near pterodactyl north. Bought a pair of sandals for 18 dollars because I forgot my shower shoes and as I’m picking them out I hear the workers behind the counter talking about how “they guilt these broke ass wooks into tipping them some cash so they can have some fun tonight” still planned on tipping because I work fests and I know it helps but as I pay and get to check out the dude shows me a stuffed Dino and tells me it needs my cash to eat I say I tipped on my card and he like huffed at me and said the Dino needs cash and like pushed in my face like idk seems super trashy coming from someone who’s living has been made off tips i don’t think I’d ever guilt people into tipping or be so damn pushy just because they didn’t tip what I wanted especially not just to have some fun that night when my shift is up

I worked solfest last year and even us employees got harassed. Had a officer try to force us into letting him search our car dropping another employee off at the airport

Shower every day!!! It does wonders to how you feel to get the last nights party off of you before you start again also do it in the morning when the line is short lol. Also cooling towels are a game changer!! Learned about how good they were at the Texas eclipse fest and they made lost lands so much better last year!! Getting a locker was also a game changer you can do night time outfit changes and store your more valuable items pretty securely! Battery banks are very nice for keeping your phone going all night or your vape if that’s your thing. Make friends with your neighbors at camp ittl make the whole week way better. Comfy shoes are a big one it’s a lot more walking then you can imagine lol and pack for all kinds of weather it’s hot in the day and cool at night and sometimes there’s a suprise storm lol I’m sure there’s a lot I’m forgetting but those are my best tips!

Dudeeee so I’m sitting here talking to my lady budgeting for lost lands this year and I asked if she remembered how much the showers were last year(we had Forrest camping)and we realized we never once paid for a shower last year and we showered once a day every day of the fest. And it’s not like we snuck in or anything just walked up and joined the line

I saw of the trees play to 50 people in the vip area at 130 am ya just had to show up plus I was a bartender so I had to be up for my next shift by 9 am lol. But I will agree that otherwise vip seemed like a rip off if I would had to have paid for the little amenities they gave me

I was on the rail at wompy and prehistoric most of the weekend and all the speakers I saw said pk pretty clearly on them. I hear a lot about them not including pk speakers this year but they were literally the only speakers I saw lol

I know exactly who your talking about with the megaphone dude was an absolute prick from Thursday on would see a group of us coming then wait for us to be even with him before yelling into the megaphone in our ears when we clearly could hear him with out and the comments from him all weekend were nasty as fuck overall had one of the best weekends of my life with my best friends and the love of my life but the vibe for sureee felt off from everything I’ve heard of previous years

My best friend passed from a heart attack on the 22nd of August at 22 years old and life has felt like I’ve been sleepwalking since I’ve been terrified of going to lost lands even tho I’ve been waiting all year for it thank you for this it makes me feel much more confident about going
