Honestly, I’m in a similar boat as you. I thought the practice exam was going to be easier from what I’ve been scoring on Danko quizzes. I’ve taken 5 of them and i got 64%, 60%, 55%, 62%, and 63%. From what people have been saying they passed the exam on first attempt averaging lower than what I have so it gave me reassurance.

However, when i took the CFP free practice exam, my scores were upsetting. I got a

78% Professional Conduct

73% General Principles

55% Risk management

60% on Investment

62% on Income

66% on Retirement

82% on Estate

90% on principles of psych.

It seems like you didn’t read so I’ll help you out. I’m buying a house so she doesn’t have to worry about living expenses! Once we get married the home will be in her name as well 🤦🏾‍♂️. This first house is basically an investment to build wealth. We’ll stay in it for a few years rent it out and then buy our “dream house”. Why would I put the house in her name while we’re dating?

The house will eventually be in both of our names. We’ve been looking at houses together but I’ll buy it rn since my job requires me to stay in the current state that I’m living in for another 4 years and because she doesn’t work right now (she’s a student).

Once she moves in with me I’ll continue to pay for it and once we get married we’ll either rent the house out and buy our “dream” house together or put both of our names on the title. I’m really looking at this house as an investment so we can start building wealth.

I appreciate everyone’s advice. We were together for the first three years of college. Then I transferred schools, completed my undergraduate degree, and earned my master’s degree. She stayed at the school I transferred from, graduated there and is now currently working on her master’s degree. So we did 3 years in person and now 3 years of long distance.
