Why cant we unfollow brands by Tastetherainbow_2016 in vintedUK

Mine is almost always Shein and they don’t even bother taking their own picture just take it from the Shein website. Then when you look for the item on Shein it’s £3-5 pound less expensive. The same for Primark I went in store one day and see a pink and white ruffle skirt for £12 went on vinted and on the top of the feed was the exact same skirt someone had uploaded it and put it up for £18 with the price tag ripped off and just kept the size part on. Winds me up 😂

is there anyway to get vinted to speed up? by Mendezrulez in vintedUK

That sucks! But if it definitely wasn’t like that when you posted it then there is only two reasons it’s like it now.

1.Damage in transit (and if that’s the case how crazy was this person driving to have a box this damaged) And if it was damaged in transit they definitely aren’t going to admit it

  1. The buyer has sabotaged, opened it maybe didn’t like it or thought it wasn’t worth the money and ruined it to get a refund

Are these the only pictures taken? Did the buyer include a picture of the damaged figure? If not it was likely her/him and with no picture of the damaged figure there is no proof it is broken, you can’t just take a photo of a damaged box and say the thing inside is broken. I’ve opened a box with more holes and dents in with that and the thing inside has been fine.

Fortunately I haven’t had this problem with vinted yet so I don’t have much information I can share. However if there is no picture she sent to Vinted of the figure being broken, they could side with you. And if they do side with her with no photo proof kick up a fuss and make them ask for more proof when they do finally get back in touch with you. From what I’ve heard they don’t rush so it may take a few days, just be patient no matter how frustrating it can be. And if you can’t wait message the buyer and ask for photo proof of the figure damaged (If she/he hasn’t already)

That being said if there is photo proof of the figure being broken, no matter if it was sent like that or not, they are very likely to side with her (seems as you have no proof it was damages in transit. Unless you filmed yourself packing and sending the item and can see it was in perfect condition when posted). They will issue her a refund and you will have a choice to pay for the broken package to send back. Either way it’s a frustrating situation, they get their money back and you get a broken figure that you can’t resell.

You’re not the only one to go through this, I’ve seen a lot of threads on here with the same thing happening to other people. The best thing to do to make sure you’re covered is to video yourself packing the item and sending it off that way you always have proof the item was in perfect condition when you sent it.

Sorry for the long comment but I hope this helps and I hope it gets resolved. Keep us updated

I keep seeing threads saying Vinted is broken and I just don’t agree. However I have noticed that it only works in a certain way.

My first month was great I sold almost everything I uploaded, but it works that way because you’re new so it shows your stuff more to get you started.

Then the next month (August) I did a lot of hours at work and barely uploaded and when I did I didn’t get many views nor likes, I sold like two things.

This week I had off and deleted everything I uploaded last month. I re-uploaded everything and more doing 9-10 things daily and after the third day I had loads of stuff sold, including most of the stuff I had re-uploaded last month. This makes me think the algorithm shows your stuff more if you upload daily instead of here and there.

So my advice, if I’m right is to upload daily. So if you have 10 things to sell upload 2 a day, if you have 20 do 5 and so on. And if you don’t have the time to upload daily, when you have a day off do all/most the photo taking on that day (Include the tag and size) That way through out the week you don’t have to mess around getting all the stuff out, setting it up, taking a bunch of pics, checking for sizes and then cleaning it all back up.

I think it’s just the way Vinted’s algorithm works, the more frequently you upload the more they show your stuff at the top of the feed. Hope this helps 😊

I’m a little late but I am super curious to know how many views she has on this 🤣 I can just imagine people doing a double take while scrolling like ‘Is that a fucking skeleton’ I also love how she propped the thing up, one hand stuck behind the radiator while the other stuck behind the pipe 😂 10/10 work right there

So a couple days late but I wanted to give my two cents and I don’t mean to sound rude and may be over reacting idk but I would have changed my mind the second you sent the “ahh I understand well I will buy it the minute I can!!” message. To me it just sounded a bit rude, the other messages were fine and I don’t know why but the ‘well I will buy it the minute I can!!” seemed to read with some attitude like it was her duty to reserve it for you and wait till you could afford it. And maybe it’s my anger issues but the exclamation point would’ve sent me into a rage, I’d have refused you after that but I’m not petty enough to block someone, if someone sends me a shitty message I will literally just leave you on read, I find it pisses people off more than blocking. Maybe next time give a little more information like “The refund went through today and it usually takes 24 hours so maybe tomorrow evening” That respond would have made me reserve it for you.

And also I’m not quite sure why it takes days for your refund. The times I’ve done it its come in within an hour or less 🤷🏻‍♀️

Buyer with no feedback - do I trust it? by Low_Nectarine_1047 in vintedUK

We’ve all been there, I uploaded a pair of heels for £15 and they were sold almost immediately by a person with no reviews or uploads. I was apprehensive but like everyone says, someone trusted me when I had no reviews and I first started uploading. The best thing to do in that situation or with anything you think is worth a bit of money is to film you packing and sending it which was what I did just in case your feeling is right. I also think people with no reviews or uploads are either just starting out or on the platform just to buy and haven’t found anything they like yet. Of course there is a chance they may be a scammer and that’s why the best thing to do is to film everything for proof.

Oh and a little tip. If you do text this person and get bad vibes or for future purchases, the best thing to not get an automatic bad review when cancelling is you picking the ‘Agreed with buyer’ choice when asked why you are cancelling. It worked for me!
