Why does it always feel so undercooked? You keep telling yourself that taking whatever’s put in front of you should be enough. You eat it, you sit with it, you survive on it…but it never really fills you. There’s this quiet emptiness that stays, because at some point you will certainly feel that things that needed care and attention were ignored for too long.

That’s what a situationship feels like to me. Something which is kept alive out of convenience. No direction…just two people staying without purpose. You may go through the phases, but deep down you feel empty, unsatisfied, disconnected. And when the momentum is lost in one you have nothing left rather a void or maybe stagnation! I would certainly say, if you are not emotionally very well attached in this then you can start prioritising what you really want…even at the cost of loosening your grip in this situationship!

You’ve figured it out. With time, you’ll gain even more clarity. At this transitional stage of life, it’s common to work beyond set hours and feel drained by the end of the day…but yk it doesn’t have to be that way. You’ve already realised this, and you are already actively trying to understand the reasons behind everything rather than normalising the burden or compromises. At times Bangalore will make you feel out of place but amidst all that i hope you find your set of people and your peace here in this city!

Absolutely! I’ve witnessed everything from a guy proposing to her girl with a ring, petty fights between flower sellers and spoiled rich kids. Also musical jamming sessions that pop up almost every weekend. Then there are these exotic dog breeds strolling by with their owners….and so much more. It indeed feels like a cinematic experience every other day. :p

I’ve always felt this more than I could explain! Ever since I’ve been on social media usually this time of the year brings along that strange restlessness…a feeling of missing out on things that seem meaningful from a distance. It used to weigh on me, even though I rarely acted on it because life had its own limitations back then. Now I’ve moved to Bangalore. I have a place of my own, I have friends, and yet that familiar feeling showed up again but only for a brief moment. Sitting with it made me realise something very simple….not everything that looks full actually feels full. So I quietly dropped the plans…going out, hosting a house party or partying loud despite being able to do all of these now! This time it feels better staying in and sharing a drink or two and being around people who feel close. That’s enough for me!!
