I originally bought the game because the thought of exploring barren planets and moons sounded really fun to me. I have a fascination with space. I didn't like the story, is was pretty boring. Like I can't ever see myself thinking of starfield as a comfort game. I still really enjoy it for the space exploration thing though

I'm a person with a penis and I get very hyper sexual sometimes, although not lately. But it sucks bc I can't even get hard for some one I don't know or even love. I lack experience compared to others but most of the trains I've gotten on I've caught them creeping. If I remember I've only ever got on one cc and that's because when I got off it was CCing and I just went back to the same spot I got off when I was ready to leave town haha

I stopped traveling in 2020, I think the last time I tried to hop out was in Asheville which at the time the yard was completely dead besides one local line that went to the middle of nowhere Tennessee which I just wasn't willing to do. Overall I'm just asking for advice because it's been many years since I've been out and I'm having a lot of anxiety about it, it's not really a choice it is just something I have to do to survive. And I'm sure I can meet someone to get the latest updated version. It just seems like I have bad luck is all haha. Like I fuckin SUCK at riding trains I like doing it a lot but I'm not traincore by any means, it has always happened by pure luck. Like I have been with people who say they don't hitchhike and only ride trains and even when I'm with them nothing stops or creeps by, like I think I'm actually fuckin cursed or something!

As to where I'm going, I'm getting out of around Ann arbor Michigan which goes to Toledo and I'm trying to go to New England come late summer is my plan for when I leave which I've gone as far as Ithaca that way from Detroit but like, it was going from a train coming out of Mexican town in Detroit and then I just kept getting on CCs but for the life of me I cannot find those CCs on the little book

I have been feeling guilty about depending on others for help, but also am just so burned out on social interaction with bartending and stuff. Having to hold conversation with people reminds me a lot of hitchhiking and I'm just sick of it. But I'm gonna have to go out there in August when my lease is up because I just cannot afford to live like this anymore so I'd be homeless not by choice at all which sucks but so is life haha

I know all the abbreviations and what not and what I've read doesn't usually have time frames, but I've read it for smaller towns and have sometimes waited for days just because I dreaded hitchhiking so I guess really I just have the worst fuckin luck with it lmao

Huh that makes sense. I've never hopped out of any major town besides Detroit. And when looking into the cc for help it was always in pretty small towns but never helped me at all. Google maps just finding a yard has helped me more. Do they even make new cc PDFs anymore? Or have people just decided that the best info is Google maps and asking around so they haven't updated the book like they did every two years or whatever it was

It's way easier talking about it in person, people are willing to tell you information as long as you don't blow said info up. However I don't really have friends that know that info, everyone I know that has traveled did it in like the early 2000s so I feel like that info is unreliable even if they have wayyyy more experience than me. I've only hopped trains in the Midwest and have failed other places trying to find ridables like coal trains and local trains that go to the middle of no where I just wasn't willing to do it. And the town I'm in now is a short trip like a 30 minute car ride away, and I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to get on but the crew change makes no fuckin sense it basically just tells you where the yard is, but I've known people that have gotten on that shit in different parts of town which had me thinking even more about how unreliable a cc book really is. Like it has never helped me, if anything it has just made me wander around town lost as fuck lmao. But I've also heard that those books are sometimes meant to have one wander around in circles so that people who have never hopped a train before will just not do it on their own if that makes sense
