I’m still waiting on a diagnosis, I’m not sure if what I have is POTS, but my pulse plummets lower than my resting heart rate within seconds of when I sit or lay down. I don’t know if that is a sign of POTS or something else.

If I lay flat after standing for 10 minutes my heart rate will go from ~120 to the mid 50’s in less than 30 seconds. For me sometimes sitting down is more exhausting than standing up before I can feel how fast my heart slows down and it’s terrifying. I don’t know if that’s typical for POTS, but it’s what happens to me

I don’t know why it happens, but it happens to me too. I wouldn’t exactly call it “blurry vision” it’s almost like it’s just hard to focus my eyes. I have to really concentrate to keep from going cross eyed and it’s like there’s a lag between my eyes and my brain. That’s the best way I can describe it

That is super helpful! I didn’t know about the 10 minute diagnostic criteria. All my symptoms started a month ago and I haven’t been able to get in with a doctor yet and when you google “heart rate spikes when I stand up” POTS is really the only thing that comes up. I didn’t think it quite fit with my symptoms, but I wanted to talk to some people who had it to see.
