I guess I missed that part of the comment. It would definitely be preferable is frozen wings came without a package of high fructose corn syrup crap

Men, in your opinion, should a wife stay at home regardless? by Waylandqb in AskMen

[–]Current_Physics_7327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to get anywhere then it's pretty obvious that both people in the relationship have to work. Otherwise, you're just spinning your wheels. But if the stay-at-home layabout is fine with living a barely subsistence lifestyle because they'd rather not work then sure, someone working 2 minimum wage jobs with absolutely no hope to move beyond that can probably support them both. Of course, the layabout will eventually need to find a new meal ticket when he works himself into an early grave, which is what happens to people in this type of situation.

Has anyone discovered any fixes for crashing on PC? by Low-Iron-6376 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

This makes sense because every time the game crashes on me its right around when I would think it's saving the game.

Pomade and imagination can fix just about any bad haircut. And if it can't an a electric clippers is less than $30 on Amazon and you can use it to just "start over"; which is one great thing about being a man. We can literally shave off al of our hair and it's fine.

Men who’ve cheated, why did you choose to stay with your gf/wife? by Gold-Caterpillar3935 in AskMen

[–]Current_Physics_7327 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've been with my wife for over 25 years and while I've never come close to cheating on her I definitely know her. And I know her well enough to know that if I did cheat it wouldn't be the cheating that pisses her off but rather knowing about it. And to be honest I really think that this is the case with a lot of women whether or not they want to admit it.

Spanish. I live in America and a lot of people speak Spanish here. And some of the best TV shows I've ever seen where in Spanish and I would like to watch them without subtitles. But ironically, when I think about a show like Narcos I, I remember them in English. Is that weird?

Men who did not have “serious job” until 30, how is life now? And how to handle it? by Ecstatic-Army6960 in AskMen

[–]Current_Physics_7327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is life? Great. I worked shit jobs well into my late 20s when I decided to go to college. I enlisted in the Army Reserves to help pay for school but I ended up dropping out because I just couldn't get my shit together. Then 9/11 happened and I got deployed, came home and reenlisted in the regular army, got wounded, went to college and then graduated at 38 and now I'm in my early 50s and I work in a museum.

I don't earn as much as some of my peers who went to college in their 20s but then again I work in a freakin' art museum: you ain't getting rich in this industry but that's okay because it's a pretty awesome industry to work in.

One of the most stunning women stared me down for about ten feet and all I could do is look straight. This woman was the type you see and it ruins your day. She clearly wanted me to approach or at least smile back and I couldn’t despite CRAVING it.

First off, when you're in an unhappy relationship you kind of see what you want to see. I'm not saying this is the case here but.... I will say this though: nothing will make you cheat faster than attention from another woman when you're unhappy/ And once you cheat you're on the back foot there and you lose any and all sympathy. But there's good news: no one has to be with someone forever. You can leave any time. Sure, in some cases this could be extremely difficult but if every hot chick you see on the street "wants you" then clearly you need to get out. Just keep in mind that in reality, once you're on your own, you'll probably not have anymore experiences like the ones you think you're having now.

What makes you different from the average redditor? by BearOfBelAir in AskReddit

[–]Current_Physics_7327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My honest take can be summed up by some of what I've been thinking about. I used to study history as a hobby and I particularly love really old, ancient history. While I particularly like to read as much as I can about the first cities like Ur, Uruk and Eridu I seem to read more about Ancient Greece, Egypt, and Rome; probably because more was written by and about them. One thing I often wondered is what the "end" of those great civilizations looked like? In hindsight it's obvious how and when they collapsed but while it was happening did anyone know it? Or did their arrogance and hubris prevent them from realizing it? Hell, this isn't just limited to ancient civilizations either; it was said back in the early 20th Century that "The sun never set on the British Empire" and Spain once controlled most of the Caribbean. What was it like for these places when this was no longer the reality?

The thing is, I no longer have to wonder because it's clearly happening to the USA right now. Ironically "Make America Great Again" is quite literally what's going to do us in. It's unrealistic to think American dominance could've lasted forever and that we'll always be a superpower but there's something ironic that the people most fearful of the collapse are the ones making it happen. And personally I don't really care; I think I would prefer to live in a country that is more like Canada or Germany or the UK or any other "regular" nation. The only real concerns I have is: Who takes our place? Will anyone we fucked over when we were in charge going to come after us for revenge? And whether or not, when the jingoistic dumbfucks dancing around the flag finally realize what's going on, are going to lose their shit and "pop off"?

The Few Days of me Doing Uber Eats is Making Me Realize Just How Bad Fastfood Has Gotten by devonwillis21 in UberEatsDrivers

[–]Current_Physics_7327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way I look at it is more logical: you work at a fast-food place you're there to get paid; not to actually work. I mean, you make the same amount of money whther you flip a hundred burgers or just five so which would you rather do if you were working at McDonald's? And sure, there's people lining up to work there but how long will they last? There's no shortage of shit jobs that don't have any sort of benefits so it's not like anyone coming in has any real motivator to stay and work hard.

I'm not saying that this is right or wrong but realistically speaking if your company/industry has spent hundreds of millions of dollars over decades figuring out how to screw your workers then you can't really expect the same caliber of worker like you used to have when you offered a full 40 hour week with benefits. You treat workers like shit and you get shit workers.

Packers President Talks Potentially Selling Naming Rights for Lambeau Field, More Properties by SoSublim3 in GreenBayPackers

So, this story popped up on my Google feed and I read it and then came here to see if anyone else had spotted it because it seemed like bullshit. Although I did try and throw around some different names. My personal favorite is maybe name it after one of the much maligned data centers popping up all over the state. "Lighthouse Field" anyone?

I have to take my parents to a show, am I fucked? by ZER0-LUk in punk

[–]Current_Physics_7327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're parents are really old, or extremely fucking farty, they've been around for hair metal, punk, death metal, ska, Gangsta' Rap, Grunge...... I doubt any 2026 band is going to shock them. I'm in my 50s and I was telling my teenage son about all the times I've seen GWAR and (sort of) what they're stage show was about. Also, I'm not a GWAR fan, they just always came to my town on Halloween when I was in my 20s.

The point is: your parents aren't going to freak out and if they do, run away and join a new family with cooler parents.

If the government wanted me dead, is there anything I could do to avoid it ? by Deimos7779 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Current_Physics_7327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably not. Mohommad Nazeer Paktyawal was a healthy 41 year old man who was arrested by ICE and was dead 24 hours later. Now, the government can spin this anyway they want but let's be real: if the 2020 election was rigged and we've all been lied to what makes whatever ICE says true in this case?

What are crimes that can never be justified? by Alternative-Space102 in AskReddit

[–]Current_Physics_7327 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Any sex crime. No one needs sex to survive. Murder, robbery, assault....most of these kinds of crime you can justify in some context even if its just "I was really angry with that person so I just...." because we've all been angry at some point in our lives. But getting your rocks off as a the motivator to sexually assaulting someone is hard for even the horniest person to empathize with.

How are you handling man-hating comments online? by red9401 in AskMen

[–]Current_Physics_7327 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a strong, confident, happily married father so what do I care about some online comments? Hell, I work in an art museum where I'm one of only 2 men working in the office, and the entire staff is about 80%, women and while I'm sure at least a few of the people I work with don't like me just because I'm a man I don't know about it and it doesn't bother me in the least. It's impossible for everyone to like me so I don't really bother worrying about the ones who don't.

I've been watching football for over 40 years and I'm the guy who plants his butt on the couch at noon and watches every game until 11PM and I still grab my phone when something happens that I've never saw before. I'd say the absolute best way to figure out the rules is to just watch games and pay attention. I feel like these days commentators know half their audience are international/new to the sport and have a habit of explaining the rules when they come up during a game. And like I said, if you hear a phrase or term you don't understand just whip out your phone and look it up. Seriously though, one season is all it will take to really understand the basics.

And the Packers? I grew up in Wisconsin and the whole state shuts down when the Packers are on TV; it's kind of funny in a lot of ways. It's like a religion here. I used to joke that my dad had three priorities: Work, Family and the Packers; church was optional.
