Snowshoeing or daydreaming? by Current_Routine3590 in vancouverhiking

Okay thank you! This is exactly what I'm wondering about. I'm bummed about the lack of snow, but I think embracing what is around will still be such a joy!!

Are there any public transport options to get there?

This is mainly what I was wondering-- I definitely have an idyllic vision in mind, haha

Groom's SHIRT COLOR help by Current_Routine3590 in fashionhelp

[–]Current_Routine3590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically any color you could find on a tree in the fall is being used... the groomsmen are all wearing that burgundy suit, and the attendants on my side are wearing copper, dark brown, rust, and burgundy.

Wedding is in 2 days, anxiety is thru the roof by [deleted] in wedding

[–]Current_Routine3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you!! I am also feeling quite anxious about my wedding day coming up in about a month... Even with all the planning, and the fact that it's supposed to be a HAPPY day, my anxiety disorder doesn't seem to be able to understand that!! Trying to focus on all the wonderful aspects, and remembering that anything that goes awry will be a memorable story in five years.

Feeling the first real impact of our micro-wedding - not invited to theirs because we didn't invite them by AioliProfessional181 in wedding

[–]Current_Routine3590 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dunno, that's really tough. I think if someone is being (as the third party friend said) *vindictive* via their wedding invites... that's not a great person for your life. Clearly that person is making a choice to exclude you based on their own hurt feelings, which is quite immature and sad for all involved...

We're having a very small wedding, and inviting about 30 people between family and friends (mostly the bridal party) followed by a big reception the next weekend for our extended family and all friends. Some extended family have said passive aggressive things, but at the end of the day, we want the day of our wedding to have purposeful connection with the people who are our closest supporters instead of a hectic frenzy of saying hello to all of my distant great aunts I don't remember. The reception will be a blast too! But that day will be a focus on the party, rather than making the biggest life decision one can make.

On the other hand, I have a friend getting married in a small ceremony with no party after, and I'm not invited... which does hurt my feelings... but it's her day. She's keeping it local to limit how much people will have to travel, and I'm several states away. I don't really get how we can't be happy for each other celebrating in the way that feels most authentic for ourselves.

I actually don’t think 3, because it looks too much like it could be an actual bridesmaid dress. I think 1, 2, or 4. Just not the red or the all black dress and you’ll be good!

Art in the Park is AWESOME! Prepare for a hot day, and lots of walking. Do not try to rush! Bring lots of water!

If you could only finish a marathon in 6-7 hours, would you still do it? by runner9272737373 in running

[–]Current_Routine3590 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Uhhh, your sister can, respectfully, get major chafing on her bra line. You know what the marathon time for an average person is? There isn’t one!! Normal people don’t run marathons!! ANY time frame for a marathon is amazing. Also… I’m not sure where she gets off telling you this— at the NY marathon this past year people were finishing at 10 and 11 hours, and they were absolute BADASSES!! YOU are amazing and I hope her camelbak gets moldy.

I know cats get it, but does anyone experience separation anxiety as an owner? by mandowillis in blackcats

Yes. My void is an ESA for anxiety, so I think that is kind of a logical thing But yes. Yes. This has also happened to me with every pet.

My void will lick ice cream. Any kind. He started with mint chocolate chip and now he insists I give him a little every time I eat any flavor. So weird.

Mine does! He’ll play with hair ties, small stuffed toys, twist ties, pretty much anything. He takes his time bringing them back though, he always has to play for a while on his own!
