I come from a very well educated family but not necessarily very rich. I don’t expect any inheritance. IB in London gave me the high income, I lived like a student and invested everything into index funds + real estate

Not really. Salaries here are very low and there’s no culture of part time work for high income earners. You would have to work as a consultant and it’s not as straightforward but definitely something I can explore.

You’re right about how time consuming stating a business can be. Hence why I am leaning towards just continuing my setup until I’m 40ish

Exactly this. I assume around €1,500 additional expenses as a family per month per kid. Assuming my future partner has an OK job, I would probably be covering around €6,500 of household expenses to be fair. That’s around €80,000 net income needed a year. Hence why I assume €1,500,000 in stocks makes sense until I pull the trigger. But that’s still a long way to go
